Objective Sleep disturbances among college students have become a significant issue affecting their daily lives. This study aims to explore the relationship between smartphone dependence and sleep quality examine mediating roles of negative emotions health-promoting behaviors. Methods A total 23,652 were included in study, 21,314 valid questionnaires collected. The survey assessed demographic factors, dependence, quality, emotions, chain mediation analysis was conducted relationships these factors.
