Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) has emerged as a global public health concern. People with the most advanced stage of CKD require renal replacement therapies, either dialysis (the focus this study) or kidney transplant. Research on primarily focused its clinical, epidemiological, and aspects. However, studies exploring lived experiences individuals key factors influencing these are limited, particularly in low- middle-income settings. Therefore, study aims to synthesize existing literature illness experience people living who maintenance across different country contexts. Adhering PRISMA PiCO guidelines for systematic review, we identified original published between 2000 2024, focusing patients dialysis, PubMed, Web Science, Scopus databases. A thematic analysis was conducted based two frameworks: Michael Bury's biographical disruption model chronic illness, framework internal external affecting self-care. total 59 were included, following themes identified: 1) disrupted biographies among which included: (a) diagnosis initiation (b) disabling physical symptoms functional limitations, (c) impaired socio-occupational functioning, (d) uncertainty psychological distress, (e) changes self-image identity; 2) repair, coping styles, strategies. The personal beliefs misconceptions about CKD, feelings shame guilt, financial constraints, spirituality. included family social support, information treatment received from clinical team, stigma, availability quality services, access insurance. This review deepens our understanding undergoing diverse settings illuminates that shape experiences. Our findings emphasize necessity holistic person-centred approach care highlight need make services more accessible affordable lower-middle-income countries.

A nurse new to home peritoneal dialysis (PD) undoubtedly has learn all the steps for continuous ambulatory (CAPD) and automated (APD) procedures, along with basics such as hand hygiene, ordering supplies, disposing of recognizing signs symptoms peritonitis. However, it is not always clear what else PD needs know in order successfully teach a patient that (and care partner) starting training need know, well support overtime once performing at home. To answer this question, using modified Delphi technique, members International Society Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD) Nursing Allied Health Professional Committee identified top 10 practice advice (tips) these thought nurses should be aware of. For each tip, we justified importance tip how could implemented. The tips were quite varied highlighted both breadth depth knowledge acquire over above basic skills CAPD APD ISPD who compiled list tips, believe through understanding importance, justification, implementation program can, turn, appreciate more individualize sessions, improve quality life patients on PD, extend patients’ time PD.

Haemodialysis extends life for people with end-stage kidney disease (ESKD) worldwide, but it imposes significant psychosocial burdens and there is little evidence about successful adjustment. This study aimed to improve understanding of adjustment in-centre haemodialysis (ICHD; dialysis in a hospital or satellite unit).Individual semi-structured interviews were conducted purposive sample 18 ESKD who had all received the UK at least 90 days last two years. An inductive thematic analysis was employed identify themes from verbatim interview transcripts. There four themes: 1) reaching state acceptance, which described importance accepting necessity dialysis; 2) taking an active role treatment, how being actively involved treatment gave participants greater feelings autonomy control; 3) utilising social support networks, benefits instrumental emotional support; 4) building resilience, optimism positivity. The demonstrated elements that could be targeted by interventions promote psychological flexibility positive among receiving worldwide.

Patient empowerment can be achieved through the PBL model. The purpose of present study was to evaluate effectiveness and feasibility patient model in health continuing education peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients. From March 2017 April 2017, a total 94 participants were randomly assigned group traditional group, with 47 patients each group. Patients divided into 5 groups; six activities held. basic knowledge, self-management behavior, quality life, anxiety, depression assessed among average follow-up duration 10.6±1.5 months.Compared had higher scores knowledges for PD (84.33±3.55 vs 91.19±3.07; P<0.001), (61.19±3.71 71.47±2.89; P< 0.001), better life (85.99±14.33 102.64±9.43; P < satisfaction (90.78±1.32 98.21±1.25; 0.001). Background: Peritoneal dialysis is a renal replacement therapy in which individuals themselves manage their treatment processes. During this treatment, patients who receive peritoneal go through lot of experiences. Objectives: The study aims to describe the experiences receiving dialysis. Methods: This used qualitative descriptive design. In-depth face-to-face interviews with participants (n = 16) were conducted using semi-structured interviews. Data analyzed content analysis method. Results: Three main themes emerged as result analyses: “experiences affecting adaptation”, “daily life activities”, and “emotional experiences”. Conclusion: Thanks these learned experiences, nurses can give more individualized patient care. Arrangements be made areas that are difficult daily activities. Considering care, they facilitate adaptation help cope negative emotions.
