The world has witnessed serious climate-related problems. Even though there are various effective factors in this point, sustainable resource consumption takes place among critical that have been deeply affecting climate change. Accordingly, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 8–12 come to the fore for all related parties due directly use. Among all, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries a special position terms of global change-related goals because they high oil and consumption. Hence, study firstly attempts investigate validity environmental Kuznets curve (EKC) hypothesis material footprint (MAF) GCC by analyzing impact income, energy consumption, financial institution development, technological performing augmented mean group model, using data period 2000–2019. findings show (i) EKC is valid panel, whereas it case only Oman on country basis; (ii) increases (decreases) MAF at panel (Qatar); (iii) development does not affect while causes an increase Saudi Arabia; (iv) reduces Bahrain, Kuwait, Arabia basis. Thus, results highlight need focus both income level achieve targets SDGs decreasing resource-based

Life expectancy is critical in determining living conditions modern societies, making it a vital focus for policymakers. This research employs panel quantile regression model (ranging from 0.05 to 0.95) Asian countries 2000 2018. The study investigates the impact of economic growth, renewable and non-renewable energy consumption, carbon emissions, government health services on life expectancy. findings reveal that growth affects only at 0.95th quantiles while negatively influencing lower medium quantiles. Conversely, emissions have significant adverse effect across all Hydroelectricity low high quantiles, except quantile. On other hand, higher levels petroleum liquids intake demonstrate positive effects Government-provided healthcare significantly improves lowest middle but its diminishes highest These underscore importance fostering productivity through improved organizational structures. Simultaneously, efforts toward environmental sustainability clean sources are essential thriving ecosystem. Yet, effective use technical endeavors ensuring ecosystem as part establishing form sources.

Abstract Considering a vast majority of application areas, the study investigates how environmental tax (ET) affects ecological footprint. In this context, examines European Union Five (EU5) countries, considers footprint (EF) as proxy environment, uses ET tax-based measures by making both disaggregated (i.e., energy and transport) aggregated level analysis, performs novel nonlinear quantile-based approaches for period from 1995/Q1 to 2021/Q4. The outcomes show that on EF (i) energy-related has only declining effect at lower middle quantiles in Germany Italy, whereas it does not have curbing other countries; (ii) transport-related is effective any country, which means effect; (iii) total decreasing Germany; (iv) alternative method validates robustness. Thus, demonstrates changing across quantiles, types EF. Hence, can be suggested go relying further practices decrease EF, there long way remaining EU5 countries well

This study examines the role of renewable electricity generation (EG) on environmental quality in top 10 carbon dioxide (CO2) emitting European countries by considering ongoing energy crisis. By doing so, research considers effect EG (such as hydro, solar, and wind) at a disaggregated level from January 2, 2019 to August 31, 2023, using wavelet coherence (WC), quantile-on-quantile (QQ) regression Granger causality quantiles (GQ) methods. The outcomes demonstrate that (i) wind have strong dependence CO2 emissions, while effects vary across times frequencies; (ii) hydro reduces emissions Germany, Belgium, Austria; (iii) higher quantiles, solar curbs Italy, Spain, Romania, (iv) lowers all except Bulgaria; (v) generally causal for some lower (0.05–0.10), middle (0.40–0.60), (0.90–0.95) quantiles. results thus show are strongly influenced function time, frequency, quantile. In line with outcomes, suggests continuing rely Italy Austria, other best alternative achieving carbon-neutral economy. this way, can benefit same time contribute their security.

Most countries have tried to decline fossil fuels dependency by supporting clean energy transition. In light of this, this study investigates the impact security risk (ESR) and geopolitical (GPR) on load capacity factor (LCF) in four fragile (Brazil-BRA; India-IND; South Africa-ZAF, Türkiye-TUR). The applies quantile approaches for period between 1985/m2 2018/m12, which represents largest amount accessible data. results show that (i) at higher quantiles, ESR declines LCF IND ZAF, while it has an increasing BRA a mixed TUR; (ii) GPR increases BRA, TUR lower middle decreases ecological quality quantiles all countries; (iii) causal effect across various quantiles; (iv) are strong predictors LCF, but their predictive power varies becomes significantly weaker with lags. With these fresh outcomes, underlines significant influence ensuring sustainability countries. overall findings emphasize risks uncertainties degrade policymakers should turn sources case increase risks.
