This case study examined a pilot development project to intensify the learning of instrumental music and enrich highly motivated school children in Finland. The was built on four core components: (a) increased tuition, (b) integration peer alongside one-on-one instruction, (c) parallel teaching, (d) an emotionally nurturing environment. school-year-long implemented three schools collaboration with higher education institution. research findings suggest that all components intensified children’s group lessons activities their motivation. Parallel teaching served as continuing for teachers diversified learning; however, it also occasionally caused confusion among children. environment, coupled between families, well commitment support caregivers, sustained socio-emotional ability cope concise schedule. Regarding further such practices, based this study, can be suggested better prepare different offer clearer vision, negotiated participants, what child is expected do at home parents’ role is. perceived very time-consuming intense. Therefore, finding right balance extended integrates several elements challenge needs reflection. Overall, raised questions about how reconcile provision equal opportunities legitimation special treatment education.
