Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common malignant tumors. Tumor immune microenvironment (TIME), angiogenesis, epithelial-mesenchymal transformation (EMT), invasion, metastasis, metabolism, and drug resistance are main factors affecting development treatment MiRNAs play crucial roles in almost all major cellular biological processes. Studies have been carried out on miRNAs as biomarkers therapeutic targets. Their dysregulation contributes to progression prognosis HCC. This review aims explore molecular cascades corresponding phenotypic changes caused by aberrant miRNA expression their regulatory mechanisms, summarize analyze novel from somatic fluids (plasma/serum/urine), highlight latent capacity

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) presents a significant global health burden, with alarming statistics revealing its rising incidence and high mortality rates. Despite advances in medical care, HCC treatment remains challenging due to late-stage diagnosis, limited effective therapeutic options, tumor heterogeneity, drug resistance. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have attracted substantial attention as key regulators of pathogenesis. These small non-coding RNA molecules play pivotal roles modulating gene expression, implicated various cellular processes relevant cancer development. Understanding the intricate network miRNA-mediated molecular pathways is essential for unraveling complex mechanisms underlying hepatocarcinogenesis developing novel approaches. This manuscript aims provide comprehensive review recent experimental clinical discoveries regarding role miRNAs influencing hallmarks HCC, well their promising utility potential targets.

Investigating therapeutic miRNAs is a rewarding endeavour for pharmaceutical companies. Since its discovery in 1993, our understanding of miRNA biology has advanced significantly. Numerous studies have emphasised the disruption expression various diseases, making them appealing candidates innovative approaches. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) significant malignancy that poses severe threat to human health, accounting approximately 70%–85% all malignant tumours. Currently, efficacy several HCC therapies limited. Alterations biomacromolecules during progression and their underlying mechanisms provide basis investigation novel effective MicroRNAs, also known as miRNAs, been identified last 20 years significantly impact gene protein translation. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the fourth-leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. Due to high mortality rate in HCC patients, discovering and developing novel systemic treatment options for a vital unmet medical need. Among numerous molecular alterations HCCs, microRNAs (miRNAs) have been increasingly recognised play critical roles hepatocarcinogenesis. We others recently revealed that members microRNA-181 (miR-181) family were up-regulated some, though not all, human cirrhotic tissues—this up-regulation induced epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) hepatocytes tumour cells, promoting progression. MiR-181s crucial governing fate function various such as endothelial immune cells. Previous reviews extensively covered these aspects detail. This review aims give some insights into miR-181s, their targets modulating signal transduction pathways, factors regulating miR-181 expression function, HCC.
