This before-and-after design study, which was conducted during Ramadan 2023, aimed to compare salivary flow rate (SFR), potential hydrogen (pH), and electrolyte concentrations before (BR), at the end of (ER), after (AR). Men aged 20 30 years who were fasting recruited from University Monastir (Tunisia). Unstimulated saliva collected over a 5-minute period between 10 11 a.m. BR, ER, AR. After recording SFR, pH measured immediately using meter. Concentrations several electrolytes (e.g., calcium, potassium, sodium, chloride, phosphate) determined inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectroscopy. Twenty-seven participants completed all three sessions. intermittent (RIF) caused significant changes only in calcium levels pH. The mean (M)± standard deviation (SD) concentration decreased ER compared BR AR (0.10 ± 0.08 vs. 0.21 0.18 [ p = .041] 0.22 0.20 .026], respectively). M± SD increased (6.88 0.23 6.69 0.35 .049], To conclude, RIF pH, did not significantly affect or phosphate. change, although statistically significant, clinically insignificant, as values remained normal. lack reference for limits assessment its clinical impact. There is need further research on effects secretion.

This study aimed to evaluate the impact of time-restricted eating (TRE) on neuro-physiological parameters, objective and subjective sleep, pulmonary capacity, postural balance among women with excess body weight. Methods: Thirty-one participants were assigned either a TRE group (n = 15, 28.74 ± 9.25 years, 88.32 13.38 kg, 32.71 5.15 kg/m2), engaging in ad libitum 16 h fasting over 12-week period, or control (CG, n 16, 36.25 11.52 90.88 19.01 33.66 6.18 kg/m2). The assessment heart rate variability (HRV), spirometric parameters (forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume first second (FEV1), FEV1/ FVC ratio, sleep assessments employing actigraphy Epworth Sleepiness Scale, using Y test (YBT) conducted before after intervention. Results: No significant negative effects observed for HRV parameters. Only improved FEV1 both sitting (p < 0.0005) supine positions 0.001). Furthermore, showed improvement performance compared CG anterior 0.03), postero-medial 0.04), postero-lateral directions 0.003). Conclusion: highlights as feasible safe dietary intervention improvements function, without any overweight obese women.

Abstract Objectives The literature on health and disease during Ramadan fasting (RF) is widely spread in many journals making it not readily accessible to those interested the subject. Here, we provide an overview of research interplay RF with various aspects well-being published 2022. Materials Methods A narrative, nonsystematic review international from a single major medical online database, PubMed, one calendar year (2022) was conducted. search term “Ramadan fasting” used retrieve appropriate records. relevant substantial data-based content presented concise thematic account, excluding concerned diabetes. Results Themes that emerged included pathophysiology metabolic changes RF, nutritional including body composition energy metabolism, cardiovascular risk factors, renal function structure, endocrinology (mainly thyroid), neurological disorders, mental health, pregnancy fetal life, infections (including COVID). Some miscellaneous clinical themes were identified, such as patients' professional perspectives. Conclusions In 2022, interest again across specialties. Cardiovascular factors attract most terms original articles guidelines. We hope this present summary scholarly work subject year.

Monitoring key physiological metrics, including heart rate and variability, has been shown to be of value in exercise science, disease management, overall health. The purpose this study was investigate the diurnal variation responses physical performances using digital biomarkers as a precise measurement tool during walking football match (WFM) higher-weight men. Nineteen males (mean age: 42.53 ± 12.18 years; BMI: 33.31 4.31 kg·m−2) were engaged WFM at two different times day. Comprehensive evaluations parameters (e.g., cardiac autonomic function, lactate, glycemia, oxygen saturation), along with performance, assessed before, during, after match. Overall, there significant interaction (time day x WFM) for mean blood pressure (MBP) (p = 0.007) glycemia 0.039). Glycemia decreased exclusively evening 0.001), while did not significantly change. Rating perceived exertion higher than morning 0.04), recovery 1 min (HRR60s) lower 0.048). practice seems safe, whatever time Furthermore, HRR60, values compared morning, suggesting that could safer individuals weight. utilization monitoring health status efficient.

Background. Cardiovascular concerns in hypertensive elderly men, evaluating the effectiveness of a walking football program for targeted health improvement this population. Study purpose. This study aims to clarify and characterize changes cardiovascular due 12-week training male seniors (60-70 years) with hypertension. Materials methods. engaged 60 participants aged 70 years from diverse regions Kashmir, India Purposive sampling was used select individuals who hadn't participated physical activities six months. In addition, were split into two groups: experimental control. The study's design objectives explained one week before testing. Baseline data collected prior program. group attended thrice-weekly, 1-hour sessions 10-minute warm-up, 45-minute game, 5 minute cool-down. Assessments conducted at end 4th, 8th, 12th weeks. To analyze data, 2 (group: experimental, control) X 4 (time: baseline, 4th week, 8th week) mixed ANOVA conducted. Results. During study, control displayed slight decrease systolic blood pressure (SBP) by 8, which returned baseline levels 12. Conversely, demonstrated consistent decline diastolic (DBP), as well resting heart rate (RHR), significant observed Additionally, basal metabolic (BMR) steadily increased over 12 On other hand, exhibited no DBP, RHR, or BMR throughout duration Conclusions. Walking proves beneficial hypertension, highlighting its public potential. Research advocates integration interventions community well-being.
