Blind and low-vision (BLV) individuals often face challenges in their attendance appreciation of musical performances (e.g., concerts, musicals, opera) due to limited mobility accessibility visual information. However, the emergence Virtual Reality (VR) based performance as a common medium music access opens up opportunities mitigate enhance experiences by investigating non-visual VR accessibility. This study aims 1) gain an in-depth understanding BLV individuals, including preferences, challenges, needs listening accessing various modes (audio, video, on-site experiences) 2) explore that can create for making immersive accessible people. Using mixed-methods approach, we conducted online survey semi-structured interview with 102 25 participants, respectively. Purpose The current article focuses on the experiences of live music event attendees with visual impairment (VI). It outlines factors which impact accessibility events and considers how might be improved for these individuals. Design/methodology/approach reports findings from a mixed-methods project utilising structured interview study ( N = 20) an online survey 94). Interview data were analysed using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis, providing in-depth insight into participants’ before during events. Quantitative descriptively statistically, Thematic Analysis open-ended responses was carried out. Findings Attendance at varied amongst participants, so too did impacting their attendance. Challenges identified in relation to several key areas: accessing information tickets, staff, navigation orientation, use availability disabled facilities specialist services. This study delves into the challenges and strategies involved in teaching blind students piano at beginner level, with a focus on creating inclusive effective learning environments.
