Health care professionals (HCPs) in neonatal intensive units (NICUs) are prone to significant stress, leading deleterious mental health effects. Recently, some studies have explored virtual reality (VR) immersion experience mitigate these risks. However, vary clinical settings, design and parameters. To report on the safety feasibility of VR busy tertiary NICU HCPs. Ten eligible HCPs without photosensitive epilepsy or cardiopulmonary disease participated. Participants underwent (intervention arm; maximum 15 min/session 1 session/shift) during breaktimes three consecutive shifts. They a washout period, after which they completed 3 sessions as routine breaks (control arm) experience. pre-post break stress survey questionnaires both arms. Analyses comprised data from 28 27 control arm (nine participants arms one participant session intervention only). All were 'really liked' (60.7%) 'liked' (39.3%). As far usage devices concerned, majority deemed be easy' (25%) 'easy' (57.14%). Quality environments reported 'Excellent' (28.6%) 'good' (60.71%) sessions. Experience chosen (46.42%) (50%). Most importantly, impact enhancing was 'Yes, lot' bit' (39.28%) most 'very minor' side effects sessions, none requiring any therapeutic interventions. Rest 'no' is safe feasible NICU. Future recommendations would compare with other well-being measures staff. Virtual could utilized for reduction

We propose the offers several physical advantages (architecture, music, and nature), social (accessibility, affordability, community-building, relief of anxiety), therapeutic (immersive, anti-inflammatory, adjunctive use in complementary integrative medicine). Lifelogging by patients may help clinicians personalize interventions matching data outcomes. Although cannot entirely replace our current model care, strategic approach will ensure adequate resource allocation value assessment. collaborative effort between Reulay, Inc Mayo Clinic, are platform for delivery personalized idiographic To end, using specific science-informed art design reduce stress anxiety patients, with progressive addition integrated care elements connect framework treatment response biomarkers relevant This review is commentary on thought process behind effort.

Healthcare providers (HCP) face various stressful conditions in hospitals that result the development of anxiety disorders. However, due to heavy workloads, they often miss opportunity for self-care. Any effort diminish this problem improves quality and enhances patient safety. applications have been developed empower reduce their anxiety, but these do not meet all individual professional needs. The objective study was investigate impact mobile-based self-care on reducing healthcare providers. In study, keywords such as self-care, providers, mobile health were used search PubMed, Scopus, Web Science papers published recent ten years (2014–2024). We PRISMA diagram report results. Ten out 2515 retrieved articles addressed effect providers' included analysis. Data extracted using a data collection form designed based research objective. collect including author's name, publication year, country, type, intervention duration, objectives, platform used, Modules presented technologies, Methods questionnaire details, Effectiveness assessment. collected from studies analyzed by SPSS-21 frequency percentage. Based results, conducted nine different countries, duration strategies ranged two weeks four months. applications, content, positive. anxiety-reduction varied among applications. Anxiety reduction mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral therapy, physical activities, breathing exercises, dietary regimes, nature exploration through virtual reality. Cognitive-behavioral therapy mindfulness constituted most frequently applied techniques across providers.Furthermore, findings revealed effectiveness interventions other mental disorders stress, depression, drug abuse, psychotropic use with practical is effective can also professional.

The COVID-19 pandemic and its associated uncertainties restrictions have adverse impacts on university students' mental wellbeing. Evidence shows that virtual nature contact has health benefits. However, little is known about the potential beneficial of during times social distancing, when access to natural environment restricted. This pilot study aimed examine effectiveness a 3-week in improving connectedness reducing psychophysiological stress. A sample 56 students Hong Kong was randomly assigned control interventions using 2-D video played for 15 min three week 3 weeks. Nature connectedness, perceived restorativeness psycho-physiological wellbeing were measured. Our findings show significant changes psychological stress levels after compared with baseline, including increased happiness stronger emotions comfort relaxation. When group, results intervention group significantly higher happiness, positive affect, but no effects other physiological variables (e.g., cardiovascular responses). preliminary highlight use contacts bolstering at or in-person visit not feasible.

Virtual nature research has emerged as a prominent and captivating study area, gaining much attention for its profound potential to enhance well-being. This literature review aimed expand prior reviews of virtual experiences on psychological physiological well-being in two ways: summarizing how four factors may moderate the beneficial effects reporting risk bias this body literature. Searches peer-reviewed articles were conducted Web Science Scopus manually identified, returning 78 relevant empirical studies published between 2010 2023. The assessment was utilizing Cochrane's RoB 2 ROBINS-I tools. moderators examined duration exposure (i.e., ≤5 min, 5–10 ≥10 min), type green space, blue space), sample characteristics age, health status), immersion level reality [VR], 2D screens). We found limited evidence impact first three but stronger higher levels showing benefits. All have high bias, mostly related subjective measurement outcomes. Future should prioritize studying tailored interventions their long-term among diverse participants different types environments, well investigating influence presence settings. These efforts will provide further insights into underlying mechanisms benefits derived from exposure.
