Background/Objectives: Chronic migraine (CM) is a neurological disorder that causes significant disability, loss of productivity, and economic burden. Preventive treatments, including pharmacological educational interventions, are crucial for managing CM effectively. The aim this study was to analyze whether adding therapeutic telehealth education program (TTEP) treatment achieved greater reduction in the number headache days experienced by patients with CM. Methods: A randomized, double-blind, controlled pilot two parallel groups performed. Patients diagnosis who were being treated Botulinum Toxin randomly assigned either EG (therapeutic about neuroscience pain, migraine, pain strategies, sleep habits, exercise, nutrition, postural relaxation strategies) or CG (general health recommendations no specific content migraine). intervention lasted total eight weeks delivered via application (APP). Headache frequency, intensity, impact, allodynia, fear movement, catastrophizing, chronic self-efficacy, anxiety depression, quality, sedentary lifestyle measured at baseline (M0), one month after started (M1), end (M2), completed follow-up (M3). Results: In total, 48 participated. There differences between following outcomes favor frequency one-month (p = 0.03; d 0.681); self-efficacy post-treatment 0.007; 0.885) < 0.001; 0.998); quality 0.013; 0.786) 1.086). No existed other examined 0.05). Conclusions: use TTEP reduced days, improved increased pain. This suggests addition specialized TTPE treatments may be more effective than general recommendation migraine.

Migraine is a common disabling conditions which, globally, affects 15.2% of the population. It second cause health loss in terms years lived with disability, first among women. Despite being so common, it poorly recognised and too often undertreated. Specialty centres neurologists specific expertise on headache disorders have knowledge to provide care: however, those who do not regularly treat patients migraine will benefit from synopsis most relevant updated information about this condition. This paper presents comprehensive view hallmarks migraine, genetics diagnostic markers, up treatments societal impact, reports elements that identify features.

To investigate the presence of modular loss coupling and abnormal alterations in functional structural networks brain patients with postherpetic neuralgia (PHN). We collected resting-state magnetic resonance imaging data diffusion tensor from 82 healthy controls (HCs) 71 PHN patients, generated connectivity (SC) (FC) networks, assessed corresponding clinical information assessment. Based on AAL(90) mapping, network was divided into 9 modules, structural–functional (SC–FC) compared at whole-brain level within as well topological properties patient group. Finally, correlation analyses were performed using following scales: Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), Hamilton Anxiety (HAMA), Depression (HAMD). Compared HCs, had reduced global efficiency (Eg) local (Eloc) networks. The FC group presented node clustering coefficients (NCp), efficiencies (NLe), (Ne), SC degrees (Dc), NCp, NLe, characteristic path lengths (NLp), Ne. In addition, SC–FC default (DMN), salient (SN), visual (VIS). Moreover, degree impairment graph theory indicators significantly positively correlated scales such VAS scores, modules negatively early course patient's disease. Large-scale impaired observed PHN, decoupling detected these DMN, SN, VIS. These aberrant may have led to over-transmission pain or central sensitization pain.

Introduction Advanced neuroimaging studies have strongly contributed to clarify the gaps in knowledge about migraine pathophysiology. Cortical thickness has garnered significant interest reflecting physiological processes such as gray matter neurogenesis and synaptic pruning, well pathophysiological mechanisms like neurodegeneration or plasticity changes associated with aging disease. Evidence on cortical highlights variability, likely due clinical complexity but also methodological issues. Nevertheless, of areas involved pain perception modulation, cognitive emotional attributes experiences, been consistently demonstrated reinforcing concept a dysfunctional neuro-limbic network migraine.
