Background:
The
Hulunbuir
sheep
is
a
Chinese
local
breed
with
good
meat
quality
and
exceptional
cold-stress
resilience.
However,
the
growth
performance
of
lower
when
compared
to
that
commercial
breeds.
Growth
traits
such
as
body
weight
size
are
critical,
they
directly
influence
production
in
farming.
Employing
genome-wide
association
studies
can
identify
SNPs
candidate
genes
related
sheep.

animals

their

BACKGROUND:
In
China,
the
Chinese
silkie
chicken
is
designated
as
a
breed
of
significant
conservation
priority,
employed
in
both
meat
and
poultry
production,
well
traditional
medicine.
The
distinctive
phenotypic
traits,
including
hookless
feathers,
polydactyly,
black
skin,
bones,
hyperpigmentation
connective
tissue,
have
garnered
attention
breeders
scientific
researchers,

utilize
silk
chickens

evolutionary
processes
underlying
diversity.
