Abstract Background Serum alkaline phosphatase (ALP) plays a crucial role in bone and muscle health. Previous studies have demonstrated that serum is closely associated with mass. Nevertheless, the association between grip strength remains unclear. This study designed to investigate whether there exists connection ALP levels among individuals aged 20 59 years. Methods Utilizing data from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) conducted 2013–2014, cross-sectional survey design was employed examine 2,182 adults (54.54% male 45.46% female) Weight-corrected served as dependent variable, while identified primary variable of interest. The relationships were analyzed using generalized linear models, smooth curve fitting, additive stratified analyses. Results We discovered negatively linked weight-corrected strength. When by gender, age group race, for all groups except other races, correlated divided into four according gender age, showed an N-shaped relationship participants 20–39 years, L-shaped 40–59 female shows significant negative correlation regardless group. Conclusions Our research notable differences finding offers new insights avenues understanding how affects skeletal

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a common long-lasting that affects millions of people around the world. It best identified with hepatic fat build-up ultimately leads to inflammation and damage. The classification nomenclature NAFLD have long been controversial topic, until 2020 when group international experts recommended substituting MAFLD (metabolic dysfunction-associated FLD). was then terminologically complemented in 2023 by altering it MASLD, i.e., metabolic steatotic (MASLD). Both MASLD terminologies comprise element disorder, as they offer diagnostic benchmarks are embedded risk factors underlie disease. (as multisystemic disease) provides comprehensive definition includes larger population patients who at morbidity mortality, well adverse cardiovascular diabetes outcomes. highlights risks lean or normal weight individuals, factor has not accentuated discussed previous guidelines. Novel antihyperglycemic agents, anti-hyperlipidemic drugs, lifestyle modifications, nutritional interventions, exercise therapies extensively studied MASLD. Nutrition plays vital role managing both conditions, where centralizing on diet rich whole vegetables, fruits, foods, healthy fats, proteins, specific nutrients (e.g., omega-3 acids fibers) can improve insulin resistance reduce inflammation. Thus, essential understand nutrition these conditions work develop an individualized plan for optimal health. This review discusses prevention strategies NAFLD/MAFLD/MASLD management, particular attention correction.

Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) is a chronic linked to several adverse health consequences that include metabolic disturbances affecting skeletal muscle. Sarcopenia, characterized by muscle loss, commonly observed in individuals with MASLD. Our study aimed identify modifiable lifestyle factors associated sarcopenia patients This was cross-sectional conducted three clinics Nablus. A total of 162 adults diagnosed MASLD were recruited for the study. The interviewed and instructed provide necessary information, such as sociodemographic factors, medical surgical history, MASLD-related data, nutritional functional status. Sarcopenia defined using Foundation National Institutes Health (FNIH) criteria, which includes weight-adjusted index (wSMI) cut-off scores (male subjects: 35.7% female 30.7%). Statistical analysis SPSS v.21. chi-squared or independent samples t-test utilized sample. data found 44% had sarcopenia. condition significantly gender (p < 0.0001), older age presence diseases 0.035), medication use 0.05). Purpose The phase angle (PhA) measured by bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) is associated with nutritional status and cellular health, it a clinically important parameter used to assess the risk of various diseases. It remains unclear whether PhA nonalcoholic fatty liver. purpose this study investigate relationship between BIA liver disease (NAFLD). Design/methodology/approach This cross-sectional was conducted 300 adults aged 20–64 years (NAFLD: 196, normal: 104). Some biochemical findings participants were collected, whole-body segmental PhAs using Tanita (MC-780) at 50 kHz. Findings values whole body ( p = 0.003), trunk < 0.001), right left legs 0.001 for both) found significantly differ according degrees observed that highest in normal individuals. Sarcopenia is a common complication of fatty liver, and sarcopenia increases the risk advanced liver fibrosis in patients with Metabolic dysfunction-associated disease (MAFLD). Chronic inflammation crucial link between liver. An anti-inflammatory diet expected to be an essential measure prevent dietary inflammatory index (DII) tool for assessing potential diets. However, relationship DII unclear.

This study investigated the influencing factors of exercise systolic blood pressure response (ESBPR) by cardiopulmonary test (CPX) in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) people aged 40-60 years. A total 603 adults were enrolled this study. The inclusion criteria cross-sectional who underwent health checks and CPX.
