Backgound/Objectives: Cycle threshold (Ct) values of SARS-CoV-2 real-time reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests are associated with infectivity and viral load, they could be an aid in forecasting the evolution outbreaks. The objective was to know Ct related incidence reinfection successive outbreaks, which took place nursing homes Castellon (Spain) during 2020–2022, test its usefulness as instrument epidemic surveillance homes. Methods: a retrospective cohort design Poisson regression multinomial logistic were used. Results: We studied four home average infection rate, case fatality 72.7%, 19.9%, 5.5%, respectively; 98.9% residents vaccinated three doses mRNA vaccine. for first infections reinfections 27.1 ± 6.6 31.9 5.4 (p = 0.000). Considering ≥ 30 versus <30, had higher than infection, adjusted relative risk 1.66 (95% Confidence interval 1.10–2.51). A sensitivity analysis confirmed these results. Conclusions: Reinfection vaccination (hybrid immunity) protect against severe disease better alone. High suggest lower transmission severity. Its value can useful future epidemics.

ABSTRACT Objectives Resident pain has been a common quality challenge in congregate care for older adults, and organizational context may explain variations resident beyond resident‐level factors. Most studies have focused on nursing homes (NHs), largely neglecting assisted living (AL). AL residents are at similar risk as NH resident, but with providing fewer services staffing resources. Our objective was to examine whether associated during the first two waves of COVID‐19 pandemic. Methods This repeated cross‐sectional study linked home surveys, collected 1 (March–June 2020) 2 (October 2020–February 2021) from key contact, administrative Assessment Instrument‐Home Care (RAI‐HC) records these homes. Surveys assessed preparedness outbreaks, availability registered nurse or practitioner, direct staff shortages, decreased morale, confinement their rooms, supporting video calls physicians, facilitating caregiver involvement. The dependent variable (moderate daily severe intensity) covariates came RAI‐HC. Using general estimating equations, adjusted assessments covariates, we Results We included 985 41 facilities (wave 1), 1134 42 2). Pain prevalence [95% confidence interval] non‐significantly 20.6% [18.6%–23.2%] 2019) 19.1% [16.9%–21.6%] 2021). Better (odds ratio = 1.383 [1.025–1.866]), rooms (OR 1.616 [1.212–2.155]), practitioner 0.761 [0.591–0.981]), shortages 0.684 [0.527–0.888]) were pain. Conclusions factors Policy management interventions can must address such factors, potentially powerful levers improving care.

Abstract The need to maintain transport during a pandemic places workers at higher risk of infection and can have other effects on health well-being. aim this study was understand the current state research impact respiratory diseases identify any existing evidence-based recommendations that help mitigate risks associated with these in industry. A scoping review undertaken as per PRISMA guidelines. search conducted English-language databases for peer-reviewed articles. We reviewed articles published over 20 years (2002–2022). found 12540 articles, which 39 deemed relevant, were analysed. highlighted high workers’ exposure pandemics, exacerbated by structural inequalities including significant number holding precarious/non-standard jobs. Increased financial strains led poorer mental outcomes detrimental behaviours health. Economic measures implemented governments be insufficient addressing issues. is transmission point pandemics diseases, it suggests some remedies best meet challenges.
