Reducing nurse job burnout is vital for quality care and turnover reduction, particularly in emergency departments. Given that moral distress a crucial predictor of burnout, this study seeks to identify factors can alter relationship its underlying mechanisms. During the COVID-19 pandemic, long-term care (LTC) facilities in Canada were confronted with many rapidly changing public health safety guidelines. Based on guidelines, LTC had to implement a series of virus containment and mitigation measures, presenting significant challenges for both workers residents. This research aims provide insights that could be used guide improvements experiences workers, residents, future pandemic crises. A qualitative multi-case study was explore demographically diverse group Canada, focusing how guidelines impacted them, their perceptions faced by Fourteen engaged from Nova Scotia British Columbia, which are regions distinct geographically differences implementation. Semi-structured interviews conducted between April October 2021. Using thematic analysis, we identified patterns within across interview transcripts. The analysis provided an understanding perspectives workers. There four key themes: (1) Tangling Uncertainty, describes effects ambiguous messaging shifting guidance workers; (2) Finding Voice, highlights coped feelings helplessness during healthcare crisis; (3) Ripple Effects, pressures beyond resident care, included strengthening inter-colleague support as well financial challenges, and; (4) Loss Home, where perceived protection residents led loss residents' home environment, personal freedom, autonomy. findings suggest workers' pandemics may improved inclusion development facilitating systems, ensuring worker stability. balance should found preventing infection retaining principles holistic resident-centered mental benefits.

Background: The relationship between moral resilience, distress, and injury among nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic has been widely investigated; however, literature in post-COVID-19 era is scarce. Research aim: To examine impact of resilience on distress after pandemic.Research design: Cross-sectional study.Participants research context: We obtained a convenience sample 1118 Greece. collected demographic data (gender, age) work-related (understaffed wards, shift work, clinical experience). measured with revised "Rushton Moral Resilience Scale", "Moral Distress Thermometer", Injury Symptom Scale-Healthcare Professionals" version. adjusted all multivariable models for variables.Ethical considerations: Ethics Committee Faculty Nursing, National Kapodistrian University Athens approved our study protocol (approval number; 474, approved: November 2023). Our followed Declaration Helsinki.Findings/results: Multivariable linear regression analysis showed that reduced injury. In particular, we found increased response to adversity was associated decreased (adjusted coefficient beta = -1.81, 95% confidence interval [CI] -2.07 -1.54). Moreover, -8.24, CI -9.37 -7.10) efficacy -3.24, -5.03 -1.45) were injury.Conclusions: can reduce level nurses. Newly graduated nurses are particularly vulnerable to moral distress due limited experience, low self-confidence, and inadequate ethical knowledge, which impact their ability make act on decisions. This study aims describe experiences during the transition professional practice identify predictive factors affecting levels. A convergent parallel mixed-methods design was used. The quantitative qualitative data were collected in using Measure of Moral Distress for Healthcare Professionals a semi-structured questionnaire. analysis conducted separately then integrated.
