Abstract Objective Our aim in this study is to assess the psychometric properties of Arabic version Shitsu-Taikan-Sho (Alexisomia) Scale (Ar-STSS) a sample Lebanese adults. Methods Data for cross-sectional was gathered using Google form link. A 758 adults (61.2% females, mean age 30.27 ± 13.80 years) completed an online questionnaire. Results According CFA, initial model's fit poor: χ2/df = 1266.51/227 5.58, RMSEA .099 (90% CI .094, .104), SRMR .114, CFI .748, TLI .719. The Turkish CFA indicated better fit: 474.70/132 3.60, .075 .067, .082), .071, .886, .867. second-order indices were good: composite reliability scores adequate (ω .89). No significant difference observed between sex terms alexisomia (53.19 13.58 vs 52.28 11.93; t(465) .76; p .450). Early intervention during this critical developmental period is essential address these risks, prevent progression clinical support healthier long-term outcomes children. This study aimed assess mediating role distress parents disordered As secondary objective, intended validate Arabic version Disorders Examination Questionnaire-Short Parent Version (EDE-QS-P). A diverse sample Lebanese children aged 6–11 years (N = 502; mean age 36.24 ± 8.29 years, 74.5% mothers) were recruited from schools, community centers, healthcare facilities into cross-sectional study. One parent per child completed all questionnaires, which assessed children, distress. The instruments used included Disorder (EDE-QS-P) eating, Big Three Perfectionism Scale - Short Form (BTPS-SF) Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scale-8 Items (DASS-8) SPSS software v.25 was statistical analysis. To examine structure EDE-QS-P, we conducted Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) using AMOS v.28 software. mediation analysis PROCESS MACRO v.3.4 model 4. EDE-QS-P showed unidimensional structure, internal consistency reliability high convergent validity. Higher child's scores reported by fathers compared mothers (8.32 9.12 vs. 5.62 7.69, t (500) 3.01, p 0.003). Parental mediated (indirect effect: Beta 0.14; Boot SE 0.02; CI 0.11; 0.18). More significantly associated distress, higher eating. directly successfully validated Lebanon, confirming its validity assessing parental-reported Arab contexts. Elevated correlates increased suggests that providers should be alert signs provide appropriate interventions, such cognitive-behavioral therapy or stress management techniques, alleviate issues lower risk

Background: Perfectionism, a multidimensional trait, impacts psychological well-being with both adaptive and maladaptive effects. Existing tools, such as the Frost Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale (FMPS) Hewitt Flett (HMPS), face limitations in non-western contexts, including Iran. The Big Three Scale–Short Form (BTPS-SF), concise 16-item scale, retains core dimensions of perfectionism while enhancing usability large-scale studies. Objectives: This study aimed to translate validate Persian version BTPS-SF, providing reliable, culturally adapted tool for research clinical applications Iranian populations. Methods: psychometric validation employed advanced methods assess factor structure properties short form BTPS-SF among adults. A sample 1,271 participants, aged 18 50, was selected from Karaj using cluster sampling. Data collection involved BTPS, rigorous translation cultural adaptation processes. Validity reliability were assessed through content, concurrent, construct validity, well internal measures. analysis conducted SPSS Lisrel 8.8 software. Results: demonstrated robust content validity ratio (CVR) Content Index (CVI) values exceeding established benchmarks. Concurrent revealed strong positive correlation (r = 0.82, P 0.001) between BTPS scores. Exploratory (EFA) confirmed three-factor structure, explaining 70.77% variance. Confirmatory (CFA) an excellent model fit, root mean square error approximation (RMSEA) 0.035 Comparative Fit (CFI) 0.99. scale high reliability, Cronbach's alpha ranging 0.887 0.916, split-half coefficients 0.940, confirming its properties. Conclusions: is valid reliable assessing Despite limitations, self-reporting, geographic focus on Karaj, cross-sectional design, findings provide solid foundation future Expanding adopting longitudinal designs could further refine applicability across diverse contexts.
