Abstract Depression remains a significant public health issue with high morbidity and mortality worldwide, making it crucial to investigate the role causality of different types physical activities in relieving depression. This study utilized two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) approach evaluate causal relationship between various activities, strenuous sports walking for pleasure, both general major We used summary statistics from large-scale genome-wide association studies involving European ancestry participants. Causal associations were estimated using inverse-variance weighted model, additional validation through extensive sensitivity analyses. Meta-analysis was conducted comprehensively estimate effects multiple MR Results single analyses meta-analyses showed no effect on depression (general depression: logOR=-0.1405, p = 0.2984; logOR 0.0453, 0.9293). In contrast, pleasure demonstrated reducing (logOR=-0.5398, 0.0069) (logOR=-1.9786, 0.0103). Reverse found genetic liability tested. Our findings underscore alleviating preventing However, do not show statistically effect. Further research is warranted explore intensities similar as potential preventive or rehabilitative measures therapy, either alone alongside psychotherapy pharmacotherapy.

A substantial body of empirical evidence reveals that physical activity is associated with a wide range positive and mental health outcomes. However, an absence comprehensive syntheses observed concerning the varying effects different exercise intensities on improvement among children adolescents. The aim this review to systematically investigate fitness adolescents, analyses optimal for improving fitness, provide relevant theoretical basis optimizing school education curricula. systematic search strategy was used in study four online databases (PubMed, Scopus, EBSCO Web Science). Intervention studies met inclusion criteria underwent thorough screening process, their methodological quality assessed utilizing PEDro scale. selected literature analyzed evaluated through induction, summary, analysis, evaluation. These findings indicate high-intensity training exerts significant composition, cardiopulmonary function muscle Therefore, we suggest schools should focus sports curriculum, which can further improve student's PHYSICAL FITNESS.

Youth affected by displacement are at risk for anxiety and depression. Supervised sport programs a potentially effective strategy, however trials from contexts lacking. Displaced youth host communities in five humanitarian settings across Uganda aged 15 to 24 years, with least mild and/or depression, were randomized 16-week sport-for-protection program or wait-list control condition. The Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7) Patient Health Questionnaire-9, adolescent version (PHQ-9-A) assessed pre- post-intervention. Linear mixed modelling was conducted. 834 young people (421 the experimental 413 condition; median age = 19.0 years; 46.9 % boys; 14.7 self-reported observed disability; 29.5 community 70.5 displaced youth). Loneliness and low self-esteem are among the more prominent mental health problems left-behind children, but most of current research stays in cross-sectional surveys, with fewer studies proposing specific solutions. In addition, although effective impact dance interventions on loneliness has been demonstrated, group children remains under-explored. Therefore, this study validated effectiveness a intervention through 16-week randomised controlled trial. Stratified sampling was used to select one primary school from each 14 cities Hunan Province, maximum 100 recruited school. Independent researchers SPSS 29.0 randomly assign eligible 1270 participants Experimental (n = 635) Control 1:1 ratio. Background : Although physical exercise has been proven to yield beneficial outcomes for individual health, the dose–response association between time and depression among adolescents remains unclear. This study aimed investigate adolescents, as well relationship. Methods A logistic regression analysis was conducted determine correlation adolescents. The model controlled age, ethnicity, economic status, parental relationship, divorce, being an only child, sleep time. restricted cubic spline used examine nonlinear Results significant inverse demonstrated adolescents’ ( P = .014). Both insufficient (odds ratios 1.27; 95% CI, 0.98–1.65; .072) excessive level 2.14; 1.03–4.47; .041) showed positive associations with depression. Restricted indicated that appropriate (2.0–9.5 h/wk) may prevent depression, while (>9.5 exacerbate it -nonlinear < .001, -overall .001). Conclusions Low is associated higher risk depressive symptoms in whereas also of particularly boys. findings this underscore importance increasing their time, but maintaining a balance avoid exercise.
