To offer thorough overview of patterns overall impact NCDs on health, this study aim to map trends incidence, prevalence, rates Iraq between 2003 2021. Methods: Data from Global Burden Disease (GBD) Study 2021were utilized. The focus was 2021, period marked by social political changes. Using GBD results tool, age-standardized (ASPR, ASIR, ASMR) for 12 were extracted expressed per 100,000 population. Descriptive statistics with 95% uncertainty intervals calculated, analyzed. Results: analysis revealed nuanced trajectory ASPR all increased slightly (change %: 0.07, UI: −0.06 0.14), notable decline chronic respiratory −14.41, −21.63 −14.30) rise neoplasms 32.66, 31.16 32.12). ASIR diabetes kidney showed largest increase 42.92, 36.00–49.78), while had greatest −12.09, −26.23–2.94). Cardiovascular remained leading cause both sexes, ASMRs increasing males decreasing females over period. Skin subcutaneous highest ASMR 48.15), digestive experienced −21.41). Conclusion: 2021 highlights progress reducing NCD especially among younger people. However, older still face high death cardiovascular diseases. Rising cases cancer, diabetes, signal need targeted interventions. Continued risk factors healthcare access is essential.

Abstract Background The ongoing war in Sudan has triggered a massive displacement crisis, leaving internally displaced people (IDP) struggling to access healthcare services. This study aimed investigate access, utilization, and the quality of life among Sudanese IDP during conflict. Methods cross-sectional was carried out six states. Quality assessed using WHOQOL-Bref questionnaire. Accessibility, consequences not accessing were evaluated an author-designed questionnaire, which piloted prior study. Chi-square tests used analyze associations between categorical variables, while ANOVA applied assess differences quality-of-life domains based on duration living conditions. Multinomial logistic regression identified predictors affordability, with significance set at p < 0.05. Results Among 612 participants, 40.3% reported facilities being very close, 13.0% faced waits over 2 h, 54.3% found unaffordable. Only 33.6% always had qualified staff, 22.8% visited public supported by non-governmental organizations. psychological domain highest mean score 49.7 (18.1). Worsened symptoms (44%) common consequence inaccessibility, lack transport (37.9%) most barrier. Availability staff significantly increased likelihood seeking care (χ² = 11.30, 0.022). Quality-of-life varied situation ( 0.011). Conclusion revealed significant variations utilization IDP, lower than those other countries. Interventions should prioritize innovative solutions like telemedicine, targeted support for vulnerable groups, expanding health insurance coverage enhance long-term outcomes.

Insufficient knowledge regarding primary risk factors contributing stillbirths hinders efforts reduce occurrence. Driven by this urgency, study focused on identifying determinants stillbirth among women giving birth hospitals across North Wollo Zone, Northeast Ethiopia. Methodology This employed an institution-based unmatched case-control design, involving randomly selected sample 412 (103 cases 309 controls) who gave Zone. Data were collected using structured data extraction checklist. entry was conducted Epi-data version 3.1, analysis performed SPSS 25.0. Employing multivariable logistic regression model, we identified independent predictors stillbirth. The level statistical significance declared at p-value < 0.05. Results Our revealed several critical associated increased Women experienced premature rupture membranes (AOR = 5.53, 95% CI: 2.33–9.94), induced labor 2.24, 1.24–4.07), prolonged exceeding 24 hours 3.80, 1.94–7.45), absence partograph monitoring during 2.45, 1.41–4.26) all significantly Preterm 3.46, 1.87–6.39), post-term 3.47, 1.35–8.91), carrying female fetus 1.81, 1.02–3.22) higher Conclusion These findings highlight importance early intervention close for experiencing membranes, labor, or labor. Additionally, consistent use enhanced prenatal care pregnancies preterm could potentially contribute reducing rates improving maternal neonatal outcomes. Further research needed investigate underlying mechanisms behind observed association between fetal sex risk.
