Sleep disturbance is a common concern among stroke survivors, yet the association of sleep duration and disorders with post-stroke depression all-cause cardiovascular disease (CVD) mortality remains elusive. We aimed to explore these associations using data from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). Adult survivors NHANES 2005–2018 were included. information diagnoses derived self-reports on relevant questionnaires. Mortality collected by prospectively matching Death Index. Stroke is a leading cause of mortality and disability worldwide. Metabolic Score for Visceral Fat (METS-VF), metric visceral obesity, has emerged as novel predictor metabolic diseases. However, its association with stroke remains unclear. This study investigates the relationship between METS-VF risk stroke, well potential mediating role kidney function. Data from 1999-2020 National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) were analyzed, including 19,109 participants. Weighted logistic regression models used to assess risk, restricted cubic splines employed explore their non-linear relationships. Mediation analysis examined function, measured by estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR). Subgroup sensitivity analyses, propensity score matching (PSM) multiple imputations, conducted ensure robustness findings. Higher was significantly associated an increased (OR = 2.78, 95% CI: 1.71-4.52, P < 0.001) after adjusting covariates. A observed, sharply increasing when exceeded 7.00. revealed that declining eGFR mediated 26.72% METS-VF-stroke association. indicated stronger in men 5.06, 2.80-9.12, than women 2.01, 1.03-3.92, 0.04, interaction 0.01). Background Stroke poses a substantial threat to global public health. The triglyceride glucose-waist height ratio (TyG-WHtR), which incorporates the TyG metric with obesity-related WHtR, has demonstrated superior diagnostic and predictive value compared index alone. Nevertheless, there is still lack of in-depth exploration into relationship between TyG-WHtR stroke. This study seeks address this gap by extracting information from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) elucidate potential association levels Methods included 8,757 individuals four research cycles conducted 2011 2018. To examine stroke, we multivariable logistic regression analysis. In addition, smooth curve fitting was applied display nonlinear association. Subgroup analyses sensitivity contributed examining robustness consistency receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were employed evaluate capability TyG. Results After adjusting for relevant covariates, positive stroke occurrence observed (OR: 1.26, 95% CI: 1.02-1.55). Specifically, each unit increase in associated 26% higher likelihood findings analysis further stability relationship. revealed that significant among participants who did not engage moderate exercise those without coronary heart disease or angina pectoris. Cross-sectional data from 3841 individuals participating National Health Nutrition Examination Survey 2017–2018 were included analysis. Flavonoid was assessed using a 2-day recall method, ASCVD status determined by extracting relevant information medical condition questionnaire. To determine flavonoid risk, we employed logistic regression, subgroup, mediation, restricted cubic spline analyses. Intake flavan-3-ols, flavones, flavonols, negatively correlated with risk. Subgroup analysis revealed that association exhibits sex-specific differences, being more pronounced among women. The significant associations increased reduced observed smokers, non-alcohol consumers, physically inactive individuals, those hypertension. Stroke is a significant cerebrovascular disease and remains one of the leading causes death disability worldwide. Insulin resistance has been strongly linked to incidence stroke. Employing characteristics metabolic syndrome, Metabolic Score for Resistance (METS-IR) accurately measures insulin resistance. Nonetheless, relationship between METS-IR stroke risk not well-established. We analyzed data from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) covering years 2007-2018. Participants providing complete self-reported information were included in study. utilized weighted multivariate regression explore stroke, performing subgroup analyses as well. A total 14,794 participants included, with an average 43.44 ± 12.68. The overall prevalence was 3.79%, higher rates observed upper tertiles. An increase unit associated 1% (OR = 1.01; 95% CI: 1.01-1.02). Interaction tests indicated no effects gender, smoking status, alcohol consumption, hypertension, diabetes, physical activity, or serum cholesterol levels on this relationship. Notably, younger than 60 years, association significantly stronger 1.02; 1.01-1.03), marked interaction (p 0.0061). Our findings indicate positive correlation increased risk. Early intervention targeting may be viable preventive measure against particularly individuals under age.

Stroke is a leading cause of death and disability globally, particularly in China. Identifying risk factors for stroke at an early stage critical to improving patient outcomes reducing the overall disease burden. However, complexity requires advanced approaches accurate prediction. The objective this study identify key develop predictive model using machine learning techniques enhance detection improve clinical decision-making. Data from China Health Retirement Longitudinal Study (2011–2020) were analyzed, classifying participants based on baseline characteristics. We evaluated correlations among 12 chronic diseases applied algorithms stroke-associated parameters. A dose–response relationship between these parameters was assessed restricted cubic splines with Cox proportional hazards models. refined model, incorporating age, sex, factors, developed. patients significantly older (average age 69.03 years) had higher proportion women (53%) compared non-stroke individuals. Additionally, more likely reside rural areas, be unmarried, smoke, suffer various diseases. While correlated (p < 0.05), correlation coefficients generally weak (r 0.5). Machine identified nine associated risk: TyG-WC, WHtR, TyG-BMI, TyG, TMO, CysC, CREA, SBP, HDL-C. Of these, SBP exhibited positive risk. In contrast, TMO HDL-C reduced fully adjusted elevated CysC (HR = 2.606, 95% CI 1.869–3.635), CREA 1.819, 1.240–2.668), 1.008, 1.003–1.012) increased risk, while 0.989, 0.984–0.995) 0.99995, 0.99994–0.99997) protective. nomogram demonstrated superior accuracy, Harrell's C-index individual predictors. Background: Sarcopenia associated with aging severely affects the quality of life elderly; diets have been shown to elicit an inflammatory response in body, and that promote inflammation may lead damage muscles. The Dietary Inflammatory Index (DII) has developed quantify potential individual diets. Therefore, this study aimed investigate association between DII, sarcopenia its components elderly Chinese people. Methods: In study, data were obtained from China Nutrition Improvement Strategies Applications for Elderly Research Programme. An assessment was carried out according Asian Working Group on Sarcopenia’s (AWGS2019) criteria. DII calculated using food intake FFQ method, then quartile method used categorize subjects into four groups. Multifactor logistic regression conducted examine associations components. Results: This included 993 over age 65, prevalence 20.2%. mean score population 0.99 ± 0.1. After adjusting confounders age, gender, marital status, educational level, risk 1.66 times higher group Q4 than Q1 (p-trend < 0.05). However, relationship is not statistically significant when other more confounding factors are added. Nevertheless, further analyzing components, it found after model, a muscle strength loss (OR = 1.65, p-trend Conclusions: Higher scores increase older adults. By guiding adults adopt anti-inflammatory diet, health can be improved terms increased strength. Further cohort or interventional studies necessary validate our findings.
