Background In recent decades, physical activity intervention programs have been developed to reduce overweight and obesity in adolescents. However, this population is considered hard reach due lack of adherence poor results. Interventions with mobile phones the adolescent normal weight shown benefits, so line research may provide benefits adolescents or obesity, although it has not yet explored scientific literature. Objective This study aims determine changes produced by a 10-week promoted during school lessons on education using step tracker apps out-of-school hours activity, Mediterranean diet, body composition, condition who are obese, analyze achieved psychological state obese. Methods The was based randomized controlled trial an initial sample 50 aged between 12 16 years (from first fourth compulsory secondary education), whose level, condition, were measured. Participants divided into experimental group (EG) control (CG), where EG performed series walking steps app their free time outside classes. Adolescents CG continued perform activities as but did use any apps. Inclusion randomized, researchers blinded. Results An increase found corrected arm girth (mean difference –0.46; P=.05), curl-up repetitions –6.35; P=.02) push-up –2.27; P=.04) after intervention. CG, there significant hip –1.37; thigh –1.28; P=.04), muscle mass –0.87; well decrease competence 3.08; P=.03). covariates gender age showed effect (gender: EG; while affected diet P=.04 age: P=.047) relatedness P=.05 P=.04). No differences when comparing EG. Conclusions A program obese for does appear effective producing improvements fitness, adequate significantly activity. Schools provide an ideal setting for enhancing adolescents' health and fitness. Short-term intensive interventions are particularly relevant, but the effectiveness of plyometric exercises in jointly improving aerobic anaerobic performance remains uncertain. This study aimed to evaluate effects plyometric-based training, form interval workouts during physical education lessons, on power endurance adolescents. A total 87 boys 95 girls (aged 14-15 years) participated 8-week intervention, performing twice weekly classes. The analyzed parameters were jump height (JH) measured by countermovement (CMJ) distance covered multistage fitness test (MFT). results showed significant improvements among participating JH experiment MFT (p < 0.05); thus, effect sizes relatively small (ES 0.3). Also, prevalence positive responders was more common than girls; however, difference statistically insignificant = 0.09). These findings suggest that training has potential fitness, even context developing opposing abilities, boys. However, varied across individuals generally small, highlighting need optimize intervention achieve pronounced tailored individual characteristics.

A total 60 obese participants were randomly divided into an experimental group (N = 30) a control 30). The intervention program focused improving children's physical, behavioral, task-related capabilities through structured MQ training. Key results indicated that demonstrated significant improvements Body Mass Index (BMI), with reduction from 21.28 ± 1.15 kg/m² 18.86 1.24 for boys (p < 0.001) 21.04 1.54 17.47 1.07 girls 0.001). Physical performance metrics improved substantially, including enhanced 2 × 30 m Shuttle Run times (boys: +12.97%, girls: +13.96%, both p increased Plank duration +41.36%, +35.26%, 0.01), reflecting cardiovascular endurance core strength. Significant gains also observed motor skills, such as Hand-eye Coordination, Behavior Imitation, Reaction capability (all Behavioral adaptations included higher scores exercise behavior while strong correlations found between BMI indicators, 20 Backward (r 0.974, These findings highlight effectiveness reducing multidimensional outcomes. demonstrates potential practical evidence-based strategy promote development children.

Purpose Repeated sprint exercises (RSEs) are widely used to improve physical fitness; however, their specific effects on cardiac autonomic recovery (CAR) in individuals of different ages and biological maturation (BM) stages still lack investigation. Our objective was analyse the effect RSE CAR, assessed by heart rate (HR) index time frequency domains variability (HRV) male adolescents adults. Methods Non-randomised experimental study. Thirty-eight classified as having a high level activity (males, 22 adolescents/16 adults) underwent single session consisting 3 rounds with 6 supra-maximal sprints interspersed 5 minutes passive rest. The HR (between rounds) HRV from pre-, 20 minutes, 2 hours, 24 hours post-RSE were using short-range radio telemetry calculate CAR. In adolescents, BM analysed peak-height-velocity (PHV). Results Adolescents demonstrated more efficient parasympathetic reactivation than adults after (η2p = 0.574, <i>p</i> < 0.05), especially those pre-PHV stage ( η2p 0.659, 0.05). For HRV, we identified an for both groups mean square root successive differences intervals between heartbeats (RMSSD) 0.280, 0.05) low frequency/high ratio (LF/HF) 0.129, indicated higher values RMSSD LF. Conclusions Parasympathetic is less affected pre-PHV, RSE. groups, at least two RSE, tended return baseline values, stabilising again

However, its validity in the real world (e.g., school settings) among children and adolescents yet be determined. Thirty-nine (12.2 ± 0.4 years, 25 males) participated 6-min resistance-based high-intensity interval training (HIIT) session. Heart was simultaneously measured by PVS H10 (criterion measure). Validation metrics included within-participant correlation, mean absolute error, percentage error Bland-Altman plots. Overall, showed very strong correlation (r = 0.93, p < .001) with 4 b·min-1 2.8%, respectively. between decreased 0.84, data above HIIT intensity threshold (≥80% maximal rate) but maintained relationship. of remained similar when accounting sex, body mass index, waist circumference or cardiorespiratory fitness. demonstrated agreement during within setting.
