Aim: This systematic review evaluates the effectiveness and clinical outcomes of Atraumatic Restorative Treatment (ART) in pediatric dentistry, comparing it with other restorative techniques, analyzing material performance, assessing cost-effectiveness, exploring long-term success managing dental caries. Background: ART is a minimally invasive approach that removes decayed tissue using hand instruments restores teeth adhesive materials like glass ionomer cement (GIC). particularly valuable dentistry due to its simplicity, reduced discomfort, suitability for resource-limited settings. It eliminates need anesthesia expensive equipment, making accessible remote underserved areas. Studies have shown providing durable restorations while improving patient comfort. Materials Methods: follows PRISMA guidelines. PubMed, Web Science, Scopus were searched studies published last ten years. The inclusion criteria included vivo on children, randomized controlled trials, case–control ART’s effectiveness. Quality risk bias evaluated ROBINS-I tool. Results: Eighteen met criteria. effectively managed caries, especially high-viscosity GIC. Comparisons Hall Technique Papacarie showed remains viable, cost-effective option. Conclusions: reliable, technique dentistry. Its accessibility cost-effectiveness make suitable low-resource High-quality modifications further enhance restoration longevity.
