The problems related to nutrition generate great concern in palliative cancer patients and their caregivers. Literature has analyzed the psychological social that causes. From patient-centered orientation, there are protocols for nutritional care. This psycho-health information is a source of discomfort among families its absence generates many with negative clinical repercussions. Thus, this study aims analyze concept advanced care Furthermore, given food an important cultural component as it nutrition, sociocultural influence on representation will also be analyzed. design was qualitative cross-sectional recruitment period lasting 18 months. After informed consent, sample (N=57) caregivers were interviewed individually. data using content analysis descriptive analysis. existence statistical differences between groups (patients caregivers) tested by Chi-Square statistics. Results showed perception structured five categories: health/survival/life (e.g. "healthy"), relationship "intimate relationship"), "care role"), foodstuff "vegetables"), others ("anything"). Abstract Purpose This systematic review aims to evaluate the feasibility, safety, and adherence of home-based exercise interventions in people diagnosed with cancer. The primary research question is: Are safe feasible for cancer? Methods A comprehensive search databases including PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library was conducted January 2025, focusing on randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that involved Studies were included if they reported health-related outcomes. Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro) scale used assess study quality risk bias. Adverse events categorized by severity, feasibility which determined based recruitment, withdrawal, rates. Results From 127 eligible studies involving 10,562 participants, found are generally safe, less than 3.2% participants experiencing exercise-related adverse events, most minor. Feasibility supported an average recruitment rate 50.1%, calculated as proportion who consented participate across studies. Additionally, a withdrawal 13.7%, 76.2%. However, significant variability these rates observed studies, highlighting challenges maintaining participant engagement. Conclusions Home-based cancer, minor being common. there is need standardized protocols reporting better strategies improve adherence. Implications cancer survivors These findings support integration into standard care, offering practical option enhancing health well-being survivors. successful implementation programs may require additional from professionals within care or community settings ensure appropriate guidance Personalized programs, developed qualified such physiotherapists clinical physiologists, improved standards essential optimizing interventions.

Cancer remains a leading cause of death globally, with patients frequently experiencing malnutrition due to both the disease and its treatment, which negatively affects their quality life treatment outcomes. Oral nutritional supplements (ONS) provide noninvasive solution improve status, but poor patient adherence limits effectiveness. Studies on ONS vary in definitions assessment tools, creating inconsistencies. A scoping review is essential synthesize these studies establish foundation for future research clinical practice. We systematically searched six databases, including Web Science, PubMed, Scopus, up August 2024. Our criteria focused oncology patients, interventions, outcomes related definitions, methods, rates. 37 from 2005 2024 met inclusion criteria. Definitions methods widely, most common definition being ratio actual intake recommended amount. The tools included self-reported diaries, MMAS scores, among others. Adherence rates also significantly, some reporting decline over time. lack standardized across hinders comparability. Future should focus developing standardized, comprehensive that incorporate quantitative qualitative data. This would allow better understanding factors enable more targeted interventions long-term cancer patients.
