What's the role of kindness in the healthcare context? A scoping review

The role of kindness in healthcare is receiving increased attention. Indeed, international research shows that a culture has positive impact on organizations, staff members, and patients. Benefits include better patient outcomes, as well humanized work environment, which helps to prevent stress burnout among workers. Studies across different settings suggest managers need foster not only technical organizational skills, but also social skills such empathy kindness. purpose this scoping review provide an overview the current landscape regarding initiatives based acts organizations. We will explore whether topic interest academics, countries have conducted most subject, practical implications for management, potential directions future research. This was using Arksey O'Malley framework. A search performed electronic databases ScienceDirect, Pubmed Web Science, identify studies published English between 1994 2023 describing or evaluating kindness-based interventions context. Based predefined eligibility criteria, screening selection were performed. Data extracted analyzed descriptively summarize evidence. 19 included review. article assessment revealed four categories: 1) culture; 2) reduction well-being; 3) education / training; 4) communication experience.
