Importance Plant-based diets have gained popularity for both environmental and health reasons, but a comprehensive assessment of their quality in relation to risk mortality major chronic diseases is lacking. Objective To examine whether healthful vs unhealthful plant-based dietary patterns are associated with among UK adults. Design, Setting, Participants This prospective cohort study used data from adults the Biobank, large-scale population-based study. were recruited between 2006 2010 followed up using record linkage until 2021; follow-up different outcomes ranged 10.6 12.2 years. Abstract For centuries, the search for nutritional interventions to underpin cardiovascular treatment and prevention guidelines has contributed rapid development of field dietary patterns cardiometabolic disease (CMD). Numerous studies have demonstrated that healthy with emphasis on food‐based recommendations are gold standard extending lifespan reducing risks CMD mortality. Healthy include various permutations energy restriction, macronutrients, food intake such as calorie intermittent fasting, Mediterranean diet, plant‐based diets, etc. Early implementation in patients is encouraged, but an understanding mechanisms by which these trigger benefits remains incomplete. Plant-based diets are increasingly recognized for cancer prevention, yet their specific impact on lung (LC) risk remains insufficiently examined. This study aims to assess the relationship between plant-based adherence and incidence of LC. Data from Prostate, Lung, Colorectal, Ovarian screening trial were analyzed. The diet index (PDI) was developed diets. Multivariable Cox regression model performed estimate hazard ratios (HRs) 95% confidence intervals (CIs).
