Abstract Background Healthy food nudges may be more, or especially, effective among groups experiencing socioeconomic disadvantage. We investigated the modifying role of and demographic characteristics in effectiveness nudge interventions targeting healthy foods real-world grocery store settings on purchasing patterns. Methods pooled individual participant data from multiple trials. Eligible trials were identified via a PubMed search selected based having controlled design, testing nudging intervention promoting purchases, while collecting participants’ sociodemographic data. Out four eligible trials, three had longitudinal measurements, one consisted single time point, two randomised not. Applied combination placement (focussing availability positioning) property (presentation and/or information). Harmonised included dichotomised variables percentage purchased fruits vegetables total purchases. Multilevel meta-regression linear mixed-effects models used to explore effects using approaches: cross-sectional analyses. Results The analytical sample analysis comprised 638 participants, who predominantly female (76.3%), lower education attainment (67.7%), mean age 46.6 years (SD 13.5). These similar ( n = 855). Communicating (dynamic) social norms is considered a promising tool to stimulate healthy and sustainable food choices. The aim of the present study was evaluate what extent norm intervention in real-world supermarkets could increase sales (grams per week) meat alternatives (i.e. substitutes legumes). Background: Mobile applications (apps) are a resource for information on lifestyle and nutrition which associated to improved outcomes in inflammatory arthritis. Objective: The aim of this study was explore whether targeted counselling via an app improves disease activity arthritis patients. Methods: Patients with rheumatoid (RA), spondyloarthritis (SpA), psoriatic (PsA) were randomized 12 weeks (Mida, Midaia GmbH, Germany) pertaining healthy Mediterranean Diet, physical activity, mental health. Disease measured specific instruments by blinded physician categorized (remission, low, moderate, high). Dietary adherence assessed the Diet Adherence Screener (MEDAS). Mixed effects logistic regression adjusted baseline age, sex calculated. Results: Of 158 patients included (73% female, 53.3 ± 11.7 years), 74 active group (ACG). All showed improvement low or remission. ACG had odds ratio (OR) 2.8 (95%-CI 1.1–7.2, p = 0.035), while OR control not significant 2.1 (0.9–5.0, 0.097). less likely reach MEDAS >= 4 (OR 0.16 (0.03–0.77), 0.02), seen 0.54 (0.06–4.63), 0.6). tendency towards adhesion (MEDAS) (β 0.35 (−0.05–0.74), 0.086). Regular consumption of ultra-processed foods (UPF) is a risk factor for morbidity and mortality. UPF are widely available in supermarkets. Nudging pricing strategies promising to promote healthier supermarket purchases may reduce purchases. We investigated whether nudging targeting healthy foods, but not specifically discouraging UPF, would change availability, price, promotion placement (UPF-APPP) supermarkets customer used data from the Supreme Nudge parallel cluster-randomized controlled trial, testing effect combined intervention promoting products. Abstract Background Supermarket interventions are promising to promote healthier dietary patterns, but not all individuals may be equally susceptible. We explored whether the effectiveness of nudging and pricing strategies on diet quality differs by psychological grocery shopping characteristics. Methods used data 12-month Supreme Nudge parallel cluster-randomised controlled supermarket trial, testing diets. Participants were Dutch speaking adults aged 30–80 years regular shoppers participating supermarkets ( n = 12) in socially disadvantaged neighbourhoods. Data characteristics (food-related behaviours; price sensitivity; food decision styles; social cognitive factors; self-control) (time spent supermarket; moment day; average visits; at other retailers; proximity) self-reported baseline. These tested for their moderating effects intervention (scored 0–150) linear mixed models. Results included 162 participants from 199 control (73% female, 58 (± 10.8) old, 42% highly educated). The had no overall effect quality. Only five out 23 potential moderators statistically significant. Yet, stratified analyses these significant showed one subgroups non-significant negative other. Negative suggested with lower baseline levels meal planning β − 2.6, 95% CI 5.9; 0.8), healthy convenience 3.0, 7.2; 1.3), attractiveness 3.5, 8.3; higher consciousness 6.2; 1.0) weekly visits 2.4, 6.8; 1.9). Conclusions Adults varying largely seem (un)susceptible strategies. It might that certain lead adverse effects, this is plausible, observed small explained chance findings. Verification findings needed real-world trials based larger sample sizes use more comprehensive interventions. Objective This systematic review summarizes features effectiveness existing JITAIs regarding important physiological health outcomes derives most promising use case KOA. Methods electronic databases PubMed, Web Science, Scopus, EBSCO were searched using keywords related to JITAIs, physical activity (PA), sedentary (SB), function, quality life, pain, stiffness. adults that focused on at least 1 selected included synthesized qualitatively.
