Abstract Introduction With rapid elevation in population, urbanization and industrialization, the environment is exposed to uncontrolled discharge of effluents filled with broad-spectrum toxicity, persistence long-distance transmission anthropogenic compounds, among them heavy metals. That put our ecosystem on verge or at a stake drastic ecological deterioration, which eventually adversely influence public health. Therefore, this study employed marine fungal strain Rhodotorula sp. MZ312369 for Zn 2+ Cr 6+ remediation using promising calcium carbonate (CaCO 3 ) bioprecipitation technique, first time. Results Initially, Plackett–Burman design followed by central composite were applied optimize carbonic anhydrase enzyme (CA), succeeded enhancing its activity 154 U/mL 1.8-fold increase comparing basal conditions. The potentiality biofactory remediating (50 ppm) (400 was monitored through dynamic several parameters including microbial count, CA activity, CaCO weight, pH fluctuation, changing soluble concentrations Ca along . results revealed that 9.23 × 10 7 ± 2.1 6 CFU/mL 10.88 2.5 cells exhibited their maximum 124.84 1.24 140 132 h , respectively. Simultaneously, 9.5 0.2, complete removal both metals observed 168 h; percentages recorded 78.99% 85.06% experiments, Further, identity, elemental composition, functional structure morphology bioremediated precipitates also examined via mineralogical analysis. EDX pattern showed typical signals C, O accompanying peaks. SEM micrographs depicted spindle, spherical cubic shape bioliths size range 1.3 0.5–23.7 3.1 µm. Meanwhile, XRD difractigrams unveiled prevalence vaterite phase remediated samples. Besides, FTIR profiles emphasized presence spectral peaks wavenumbers. Conclusion mediated immobilization encapsulation inside potent trap biomineralization process, deemed as surrogate ecofriendly solution mitigate toxicity restrict mobility soil wastewater.

Abstract The production of value-added bio-compounds from rejuvenated sources and their recruitment for healthcare services are paramount objectives in the agenda white biotechnology. Hereupon, current study focused on economic single cell oils (SCOs) oleaginous fungi Alternaria sp. (A-OS) Drechslera (D-OS) using cheese whey waste stream, followed by evaluation as antibiofilm anticancer agents, first time. As a sole substrate growth, aided lipid accumulation 3.22 4.33 g/L, which representing 45.3 48.2% content (A-OS), respectively. Meanwhile, higher unsaturation degree was detected A-OS 62.18% comparing to 53.15% D-OS, with advantageous presence omega-6 poly unsaturated fatty acid 22.67% 15.04% D-OD, respectively, revealed GC-MS FTIR characterization analysis. Interestingly, an eminent significant ( P ≤ 0.05) potency observed dose-dependent modality upon employing both SCOs agents. Whereas, 100 µg/mL recorded superior inhibition P. aeruginosa , S. aureus C. albicans biofilms development 84.10 ± 0.445, 90.37 0.065 94.96 0.21%, D-OS (100 µg/mL) thwarted 47.41 2.83, 62.63 5.82 78.67 0.23%, correspondingly. Besides, metabolic performance cells within biofilm matrix, protein, carbohydrate contents hydrophobicity examined were also curtailed correlation biomass r ≥ 0.9). Further, against A549 CaCo-2 lines IC50 values 2.55 3.425% SI 10.1 7.5, However, 8.275% 2.88 Caco-2 cells, Additionally, activated caspase 3 64.23 1.18% 53.77 0.995% more than (52.09 0.222% 49.72 0.952%) Furthermore, enzymes, associated cancer invasion, metastasis, angiogenesis (i.e., MMP2 MMP9) strongly inhibited 18.58% 8.295%, respectively values; while results 23.61% 13.16%, could be ascribed ω-6/ω-3 A-OS. promising opens up vision employ anti-infective nutraceuticals complementary/alternative therapy prophylactic programs well.
