Abstract Aims To provide an updated comprehensive evaluation of the quality and evidence association existing studies on health outcomes related to intermittent fasting (IF). Materials Methods We conducted a systematic search PubMed, Web Science, Cochrane Library, Embase databases, covering literature up June 2024. Meta‐analyses reviews that include adult populations quantitatively analyse IF interventional are included. For with complete data, we reanalyzed effect sizes 95% confidence intervals using random‐effects models. Article certainty were graded A Measurement Tool Assess Systematic Reviews (AMSTAR‐2), Grading Recommendations Assessment, Development Evaluation (GRADE) system, standardized credibility grading system. Results Twelve meta‐analysis 122 outcome associations identified. High‐quality indicated significant between time‐restricted eating (TRE) weight loss, fat mass reduction, decreased insulin glycosylated haemoglobin levels in overweight or obese adults, as well 5:2 diet reduced low‐density lipoprotein cholesterol levels. Moderate‐to‐low‐quality suggested modified alternate‐day improvements body weight, lipid profile blood pressure. Additionally, high‐to‐low‐quality showed regimens effectively improved liver non‐alcoholic fatty disease. Conclusions This umbrella review highlights IF, especially TRE, promising intervention for metabolic health, particularly beneficial adults. also highlight need further extensive research understand long‐term effects, individualized plans potential adverse effects different populations.

Mounting evidence supports the health benefits of intermittent fasting (IF) in general. This study evaluates its impact on patients with gynecological or breast cancer specifically. A thorough search for studies comparing IF either nonintervention diets calorie restriction (CR) and published prior to October 5, 2024 was carried out PubMed, Web Science, Cochrane Library, Scopus, Embase, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Chinese Biomedical Literature databases (CBM). Extracted data included but not limited body mass index (BMI), weight, waist circumference (WC), glucose, insulin levels, chemotherapy-related toxicity, subjective perceptions. total 625 subjects were across 7 randomized controlled trials, 2 nonrandomized trials. Meta-analysis revealed that significantly reduced weight (Effect Size [ES]: -0.611; 95% Confidence Interval [CI]: -0.886 -0.356; p < 0.001; I² = 0%), blood glucose levels (standardized mean difference [SMD]: -0.347 mmol/L; CI: -0.533 -0.140; 0.001), concentrations (SMD: -0.395 mU/L; -0.674 -0.116; 0.005). Sensitivity analysis indicated overall effect sizes stable. However, it remains uncertain whether increases adverse effects (relative risk [RR]: 1.038; 0.844 1.278; 0.723). Furthermore, three fatigue two improved quality life. systematic review meta-analysis suggests has a beneficial reducing patients. may also reduce improve is uncertain. Further high-quality long-term follow-ups are needed confirm these findings.

Abstract Background Numerous studies have shown that exercise and dietary interventions positively impact CVD outcomes; however, there is substantial variability in the efficacy of different interventions. The absence direct comparisons between multiple complicates determination their relative effects. This study aims to synthesize literature on impacts exercise, dietary, combined cardiovascular health indicators, perform a network meta-analysis rank these approaches, providing theoretical foundation for selecting optimal intervention strategies. Methods We systematically reviewed from database inception through September 2024, searching PubMed, Web Science, Embase, Cochrane Library. Data were aggregated analyzed using meta-analysis, with ranked according Surface Under Cumulative Ranking (SUCRA) curves. Results was as follows: 1). Triglycerides (TG) Reduction: CR + EX > 5/2F TRF KD CON TRF. 2). Total Cholesterol (TC) EX. 3). High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) Increase: CR. 4). Low-Density (LDL) 5). Systolic Blood Pressure (SBP) 6). Diastolic (DBP) Conclusion demonstrated most positive effects indicators. In contrast, relatively low effectiveness, its several indicators being even lower than CON.

Objectives. This study aimed to analyze the effect of a four-week moderate-intensity exercise regimen on increasing growth hormone (GH) levels in individuals with obesity. Materials and methods. A total 25 female aged 20-25 years, body mass index (BMI) 27.50-37.00 kg/m², were involved randomly divided into two groups, namely control group (CON; n = 12) (MIE; 13). The (treadmill for 30 minutes at 60-70% HRmax, resistance 1RM) was conducted 3 times per week period 4 weeks. Blood samples from participants collected pre- post-exercise sessions, GH analyzed using Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay method. Data analysis techniques used paired sample t-test significance level 5 %. Results. results between pre-exercise sessions CON showed change (1291.79 ± 383.76 1151.53 484.80 pg/mL; p 0.694), while MIE demonstrated following dynamics — (1161.79 133.72 2103.83 357.09 0.006). Conclusions. main findings this revealed that after implementing intervention, significant increase observed obese females.

Extreme fasting, especially if combined dehydration intense physical exercise, may harm health development, particularly those of children teenagers engaging judo competitions. However, there is substantial evidence for positive effects other forms fasting. Here, we aim to provide an updated overview the potential risks associated extreme dietary contrast them health-promoting fasting approaches. We conclude that literature on long-term consequences scarce. This applies specifically its association eating disorders. Although many reports have highlighted short-term rapid loss, vulnerability protection factors remain poorly understood.
