AbstractBackground: Intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD) is the predominant cause of low back pain (LBP), that leads to significant disability and imposes a substantial socioeconomic burden. Despite its prevalence, effective treatment for IDD has yet be fully established. This study aimed explore therapeutic potential quercitrin (QUE) in development elucidate underlying mechanisms.Methods:: In vitro, we investigated effects QUE on ECM metabolism, inflammatory response pyroptosis IL-1β-stimulated nucleus pulposus cells (NPCs), along with mechanisms. vivo, mice lumbar spinal instability (LSI) was established determined impact progression.Results: significantly alleviated inflammation maintained homeostasis under IL-1β stimulation NPCs. Moreover, appeared inhibit pyroptosis, which closely related intense response. Notably, protective abrogated upon inhibition TRIM31 activity, indicating mediated suppression crucial QUE.Con clusion: plays an important role alleviating within NPCs, thereby slowing progression IDD. Therefore, might emerge as promising candidate IDD, holding clinical application future.
