Insulin resistance (IR) is a significant factor in the development and progression of metabolic-related diseases like dyslipidemia, T2DM, hypertension, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, cardiovascular cerebrovascular disorders, cancer. The pathogenesis IR depends on multiple factors, including age, genetic predisposition, obesity, oxidative stress, among others. Abnormalities insulin-signaling cascade lead to host, insulin receptor abnormalities, internal environment disturbances, metabolic alterations muscle, liver, cellular organelles. complex multifaceted characteristics signaling envisage their thorough comprehensive understanding at molecular level. Therapeutic strategies for include exercise, dietary interventions, pharmacotherapy. However, there are still gaps be addressed, more precise biomarkers associated chronic lifestyle interventions needed. Understanding these pathways essential developing effective treatments IR, reducing healthcare costs, improving quality patient life.

Abstract Background and Aims Meteorin‐like protein (Metrnl) has been recently suggested as a new adipokine with protective cardiovascular effects. Its circulating levels in patients seem to be associated heart failure (HF), although contradictory results. Our aim was ascertain whether this could estimate the prognosis of HF de novo (DNHF) patients. Methods Metrnl plasma 400 hospitalized DNHF (55% reduced ejection fraction, 17.3% mid‐range 27.8% preserved fraction) were measured by enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay. We performed both sex‐pooled sex‐specific analyses. A 12‐month follow‐up conducted, during which clinical outcomes such all‐cause mortality, death re‐hospitalization due collected. Results After follow up, higher an increased risk for after adjusting sex, age, LVEF, hypertension, diabetes, ischemic aetiology, chronic renal failure, NT‐proBNP troponin (hazard ratio [HR] = 1.003, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.000–1.005; p ‐value<.05 HR 1.004, CI 1.001–1.007, ‐value<.05, respectively). In line this, had number occurrences events. Regarding associations parameters implicated development progression HF, we found that positively correlated age ( r .322, ‐value<.0001), .281, ‐value<.0001) dysfunction markers urea creatinine .353, women than men (473.7 [385.9–594.0] pg/mL vs. 428.7 [349.1–561.3] pg/mL, ‐value<.006). Finally, concerning subtype fraction. Conclusion Patients have worse DNHF. results reinforce association outcomes.

ABSTRACT Cardiomyopathies, a diverse group of diseases affecting the heart muscle, continue to pose significant clinical challenges due their complex aetiologies and limited treatment options targeting underlying genetic molecular dysregulations. Emerging evidence indicates that Metrnl, myokine, adipokine cardiokine, plays role in pathogenesis various cardiomyopathies. Therefore, objective this review is examine mechanism Metrnl cardiomyopathies, with expectation providing new insights for these diseases.

An imbalance in the metabolism of glycolipids largely causes numerous metabolic diseases that negatively affect human health. Metrnl plays an important role glycolipid and regulates glucose lipid through multiple mechanisms. However, expression level related to remains controversial. can increase utilization by tissue cells reduce adverse effects a high-glucose environment on body; metabolism, it composition blood lipids, accumulation fat, promote browning white fat. The clinical efficacy exogenously administered recombinant needs be further investigated verified. This review presents overview Metrnl, emphasizing its association with diseases. It offers theoretical foundation for treatment metabolism-related conditions.

Abstract As the prevalence of obesity and metabolic disease continues to climb, need for effective therapeutic interventions remains high. The growth skeletal muscle (SkM) greatly influences systemic metabolism across whole body, making this tissue an important target combat rise dysfunction. Transgenic rodent models targeted SkM exhibit profound improvements in various remote tissues, including adipose liver. It is currently unclear how selective stimulation alters distant tissues; however, evidence suggests that muscle‐secreted factors may be involved. Here, we aim provide basic biomedical researchers with a summary current knowledge regarding regulated by anabolic pathways proteins SkM, as well their effects, implicate them whole‐body effects growth. In review, also identify several gaps field, future directions investigation, implications such resistance exercise pharmacology. image
