Cutaneous tissue is one of the main targets outdoor stressors, and nowadays, effect pollution on skin conditions premature ageing has been well correlated, although exact that different pollutants have not defined, especially when compared to other stressors. Among air pollutants, UV radiation particulate matter (PM) found among most aggressive in terms damage, inducing oxinflammatory responses, promoting degradation extracellular matrix (ECM) components, compromising cutaneous defensive barrier. Topical application technologies able prevent oxidative damage still best approaches protect our skin, considering well-known antioxidant network, an mixture more recommended than a single compound. In present study, human explants were exposed every day for 4 days diesel particles (DEE) or after daily pre-treatment with topical commercially available (AOX Mix), containing 15% ascorbic acid, 0.5% ferulic acid 1% tocopherol. Oxidative stress markers such as 4-hydroxynonenal, barrier proteins involucrin, filaggrin, claudin-1 desmocollin-1, resilience elastin tropoelastin, levels Type I III collagens assessed. was induced by confirming protection needed ageing.

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic and relapsing inflammatory skin disease in which dry itchy may develop into lesions. AD has strong genetic component, as children from parents with have two-fold increased chance of developing the disease. Genetic risk loci epigenetic modifications reported mainly locate to genes involved immune response epidermal barrier function. However, pathogenesis cannot be fully explained by (epi)genetic factors since environmental triggers such stress, pollution, microbiota, climate, allergens also play crucial role. Alterations AD, observed at all stages precede development overt inflammation, manifest as: skin; ultrastructural abnormalities, notably anomalies lamellar body cargo system; abnormal lipid composition, including shorter fatty acid moieties several classes, ceramides free acids. Thus, compelling question whether primarily disorder evolving due susceptibility immunogenic genes. In this review, we focus on abnormalities epidermis blood patients evaluate their primary role eliciting an response.

Background The worldwide prevalence of eczema has continued to rise over the past decades. This led emphasis on association between air pollution and eczema. study investigated relationship daily exposure number outpatient visits in Guangzhou with overarching goal providing novel insights interventions for aggravation prevention. Methods Daily data, meteorological outpatients were obtained from 18 January 2013 31 December 2018 Guangzhou. A generalized additive model Poisson distribution was used assess short-term PM 2.5 10 . In addition, by age (<65 years, ≥65 years) gender evaluated. Results total 293,343 recorded. results indicated that a μg/m 3 increase same day/lag 1 2 days associated increments 2.33%, 1.81%, 0.95% risk, respectively. On other hand, risk 1.97%, 1.65%, 0.98% Furthermore, associations increment similar male female groups. after stratified analyses strongest positive observed at lag 0 day percent changes being 4.72% 3.34% <12 years old, ≥12 <65 old groups, Conclusion Short-term increases outpatients, especially among children elderly. quality trends hospital resource arrangement should be paid attention managers which may aid disease prevention lower health burden.

Food allergy represents a growing public health and socio-economic problem with an increasing prevalence over the last two decades. Despite its substantial impact on quality of life, current treatment options for food are limited to strict allergen avoidance emergency management, creating urgent need effective preventive strategies. Advances in understanding pathogenesis allow develop more precise approaches targeting specific pathophysiological pathways. Recently, skin has become important target prevention strategies, as it been hypothesized that exposure through impaired barrier might induce immune response resulting subsequent development allergy. This review aims discuss evidence supporting this complex interplay between dysfunction by highlighting crucial role epicutaneous sensitization causality pathway leading progression clinical We also summarize recently studied prophylactic therapeutic interventions repair emerging strategy controversies future challenges. Further studies needed before these promising strategies can be routinely implemented advice general population.

Abstract Cutaneous tissues is among the main target of outdoor stressors such as ozone (O 3 ), particulate matter (PM), and ultraviolet radiation (UV) all involved in inducing extrinsic skin aging. Only a few reports have studied multipollutant interaction its effect on damage. In present work, we intended to evaluate ability pollutants O PM further aggravate cutaneous UV addition, preventive properties cosmeceutical formulation mixture (AOX mix) containing 15% vitamin C (L‐ascorbic acid), 1% E (α‐tocopherol) 0.5% ferulic acid was also investigated. Skin explants obtained from three different subjects were exposed 200 mJ light, 0.25 ppm for 2 h, 30 min diesel engine exhaust (DEE), alone or combination 4 days (time point D1 D4). The results showed clear additive DEE with terms keratin 10, Desmocollin Claudin loss. exposure significantly induced inflammatory response measured NLRP1/ASC co‐localization suggesting activation inflammasome machinery. Finally, loss Aquaporin3 affected by combined stressors. Furthermore, daily topical pre‐treatment AOX Mix prevented changes multipollutants. conclusion, this study first investigate effects most harmful human confirms that an antioxidant application may prevent pollution‐induced
