The triple burden of malnutrition (TBM) is increasing globally, but significant evidence gaps exist regarding its and drivers among children in Southeast Asian (SEA) countries. We systematically searched four databases (PROSPERO-CRD42023420129) Google Scholar through February 2024. assessed stunting overweight prevalence aged 0–18 years old across SEA countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam) from recent national surveys. conducted random-effect meta-analyses to estimate the pooled micronutrient deficiencies, odds ratio for TBM-associated determinants using an adapted socio-ecological framework. 176 studies were included systematic review, with 132 eligible meta-analysis. Our findings illustrate variation TBM countries, dependent on region, age, sex. Pooled [95% CI] anemia, iron, vitamin A, D deficiencies 25% [22, 29], 14% [10, 18], 6% [4, 8], 40% [32, 48], respectively (I2>90%). Determinants child-individual factors, poor early-life nutrition, family household characteristics including maternal nutrition education, socioeconomic, size, sanitation, food security. However, macro-level environmental impacts less documented. emphasize need robust, timely monitoring data, biomarkers, targeted policy intervention

Background/Objectives: The effectiveness of eco-labels in encouraging more sustainable food choices varies across studies. We investigate whether consumers’ characteristics may explain this heterogeneity the context carbon footprint labeling by studying moderating role sociodemographic factors (age, gender, ethnicity, occupation), socioeconomic status (education and subjective position), place residence (rural to urban), political ideology. Methods: manipulated proportion carbon-labeled products two incentive-compatible pre-registered choice experiments. first (n = 715) asked consumers shop for instant meal an online grocery store containing a category’s complete product assortment. second 1233) forced make tradeoffs between preferences emissions consecutive cut fruit products, one without another with labels. To capture potential lasting effects, we collected purchase intention data from same respondents several months after exposure both Results: Across studies, increasing label led liberals centrists choose lower-emission foods but had minimal or no impact on conservatives (although it never backfired). None other individual moderated effects controlling However, young age, low position, urban indirectly improved responsiveness predicting liberal observed persisted four not longer. Conclusions: These findings demonstrate critical ideology provide actionable insights improve targeting design sustainability interventions.

The surveillance of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) is vital for understanding their prevalence, risk factors, and trends, thus enabling evidence-based interventions. Integrating the One Health Exposome approaches into NCD recognizes interconnectedness human, animal, environmental health. These enhance monitoring by addressing shared determinants chronic diseases, such as pollution, heat stress, antimicrobial resistance, zoonotic influence. Multisectoral collaboration strengthens data collection, early detection, targeted responses. By leveraging interdisciplinary expertise, Health-informed will promote comprehensive insights, better resource allocation, effective prevention strategies, ultimately reducing burden advancing global health security sustainable development.
