Background: The association between oral cavities and the SARS-CoV-2 virus is an issue commonly analyzed studied. Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic has induced profound societal and healthcare transformations globally. Material methods: This multicenter retrospective study aimed to assess potential shifts in the epidemiology management of oromaxillofacial trauma requiring surgical intervention over a 1-year period encompassing onset pandemic, comparison preceding year. parameters investigated included age, sex, injury mechanisms, fractured bones, treatment modalities. statistical significance was set at p < 0.05. Results: A notable 39.36% reduction fractures identified (p 0.001), with no significant alterations sex distribution, types or An appreciable increase mean age observed (35.92 vs. 40.26) = 0.006). Purpose : Odontogenic infections, which originate from teeth or their surrounding structures, are prevalent in the head and neck regions. The COVID-19 pandemic has altered healthcare-seeking behaviors due to policies adapted impede spread of virus, potentially impacting management severity odontogenic infections.
