The RNA-binding motif (RBM) proteins are a class of named, containing RNA-recognition motifs (RRMs), domains, and ribonucleoprotein motifs. RBM involved in RNA metabolism, including splicing, transport, translation, stability. Many studies have found that aberrant expression dysregulated function family members closely related to the occurrence development cancers. This review summarizes role genes cancers, their roles cancer cell proliferation, migration, apoptosis. It is essential understand mechanisms these tumorigenesis development, identify new therapeutic targets prognostic markers.

Abstract Background N6-methyladenosine (m6A) RNA methylation and its methyltransferase METTL3 have been widely reported to be involved in different cancers by regulating metabolism function. Here, we aimed explore the biological function clinical significance of m6A modification head neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Methods The prognostic value expression was evaluated using tissue microarray immunohistochemical staining analyses a human HNSCC cohort. role mechanism tumour growth, metastasis angiogenesis were determined vitro vivo. Results M6A levels expressions tissues significantly increased compared with paired adjacent tissues. Meanwhile, an independent risk factor for prognosis patients. Moreover, overexpression promoted proliferation, migration, invasion, angiogenesis, while knockdown had opposite effect vivo vitro. Mechanistically, enhanced CDC25B mRNA, which maintained stability upregulated expression, thereby activating G2/M phase cycle leading malignant progression. Conclusions may potential biomarker therapeutic target HNSCC.

Traditionally majority of eukaryotic gene expression is influenced by transcriptional and post-transcriptional events. Alterations in the proteins that act post-transcriptionally can affect cellular signaling homeostasis. RNA binding (RBPs) are a family specifically bind to RNAs involved regulation important processes such as cell differentiation metabolism. Deregulation RNA-RBP interactions any changes RBP or function lead various diseases including cancer. In cancer cells, RBPs play an role regulating tumor suppressors oncoproteins cell-signaling pathways. Several HuR, AUF1, RBM38, LIN28, RBM24, tristetrapolin Musashi critical roles types cancers their aberrant cells makes them attractive therapeutic target for treatment. this review we provide overview i). progression mechanism action ii). RBPs, breast DNA damage response iii). explore with emphasis on HuR therapy.
