As the trend of 'green medicine' has emerged robustly over past decades, an expanding demand for sustainable development biomaterials led scientists to shift their attention more alternatives such as plant-derived products, especially soybean-derived products. The cultivation soy farms, if performed responsibly, can generate fewer greenhouse gases than synthetic or animal-derived materials generate, leading a lower environmental footprint. In this narrative review, first, we briefly summarize history soy-based materials, how they have been used in different cultures worldwide thousands years, and bioactive components, including proteins, isoflavones, lecithin, other minerals. Our review will also discuss sustainability these greater depth, with focus on biodegradability, biocompatibility, renewable nature multiple applications current medicine tissue engineering areas. While products proven be promising, eco-friendly fields, much effort further research are needed optimize performance scalability before fully applied clinical settings future.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), a serious metabolic disorder, is worldwide health problem due to the alarming rise in prevalence and elevated morbidity mortality. Equol, a naturally occurring phytoestrogen derived from the fermentation of soy and soy-based products by gut bacteria, is recognized for its diverse health benefits. While there speculation about association with cancer prevention, scientific community has yet to reach consensus due variability in research findings. Our study aims shed light on this topic examining correlation between urine equol concentrations risk among American population. The National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) national survey U.S. civilians which participants are enrolled database sample questionnaire. This included 2797 Americans aged 40 years older NHANES (2005–2010). relationship concentration was analysed using weighted logistic regression models, stratified analysis, smoothed curve fitting threshold effect analysis were also performed. Among our study, 390 individuals received diagnosis. findings indicate positive levels cancer. Notably, highest quartile excretion exhibited significantly elevated cancer, 25.4% increase compared those lowest (POR = 1.254, 95% CI: 1.252, 1.256), after fully adjusting confounders. Similar results observed other adjusted models. A non-linear shape an inverted U-shape can be fitting, inflection point 25.5. Urinary below 25.5 ng/ml positively associated risk, while above showed slight negative trend risk. Background Prostate cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors among men worldwide, and current treatments still face many challenges. Therefore, researchers are continuously seeking new therapeutic methods to improve treatment efficacy reduce side effects. Phenylacetylglutamine (PAGln), a metabolite gut microbiota, has been reported have anti-inflammatory anti-tumor activities. Methods We assessed impact PAGln on prostate using in vitro vivo models. Cell proliferation, migration, invasion capabilities were evaluated through CCK8, EdU incorporation, colony formation assays, as well wound healing Transwell assays. Objective To investigate the impact of diet on cardiovascular (CV)/all-cause mortality among individuals with diabetes, and to explore whether this relationship changes by gender. Methods We collected data from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) database pertaining 5,875 diabetes (3,068 males 2,807 females) used Healthy Eating Index (HEI), Alternative (AHEI), alternative Mediterranean Diet (aMED) index assess quality. Multivariate Cox models were determine association between dietary quality scores CV/all-cause mortality, stratified genders. Dose–response relationships assessed using Restricted Cubic Spline (RCS). As a secondary objective, further analysis was conducted connection different components.
