Urinary tract infection (UTI) is the most prevalent kind of pathogenic bacteria infection, and midstream urine culture regarded as gold standard in UTI diagnosis. Recently, even with modern media techniques such polymerase chain reaction (PCR), urinary cultures still create a considerable workload for hospital laboratories. Other UTI-detecting methods, flow cytometry lateral immunoassay, suffer from various drawbacks like long time consumption low sensitivity. Therefore, looking reliable biomarkers urgently needed. In this review, current definitions can be basically divided into two main categories: uncomplicated complicated UTI. light anatomical sites, it classified either lower or upper We take classification clue review reported extensive literature to classify existing studied markers following three Biomarkers used clinically; Promising biomarkers; Controversial biomarkers. Particularly, nucleic acid-associated, metabolomic, lipidomic are highlighted. At end, we discuss challenges prospects UTI, hoping further inspire diagnosis

Background COVID-19 is generally believed to increase the risk of nosocomial infections, however, there a gap in relevant researches on critically ill patients cardiac care units (CCU). Method This cross-sectional research was conducted tertiary-level non-epidemic hospital Beijing, capital China. The infection rates CCU were assessed prior and during outbreak. Results During pandemic, overall incidence infections decreased by 20.6-percent compared with pre - pandemic period. Specifically, total rate ( p = 0.04) 20.6%. Among various types CCU-acquired pneumonia, urinary tract (UTI), bloodstream (BSI), gastrointestinal infection, skin ranges from 4.7 100% pandemic. Meanwhile, 1.5-percent ventilator-associated events (VAEs) observed Conclusion stricter implementation control protocols appears reduce CCU.
