The
contamination
of
freshwater
with
microplastics
(MPs)
has
been
established
globally.
While
the
analysis
MPs
predominantly
involved
spectroscopic
methods
for
revealing
particle
numbers,
potential
employing
spectroscopy
mass
estimation
underutilized.
Consequently,
there
is
a
need
to
enhance
our
understanding
loads
and
ensure
complementarity
comparability

techniques

comparative

urban
water
samples

Fourier-transform
infrared
(μ-FTIR)

Abstract
Background
The
microplastic
transport
of
rivers
is
a
complex
spatiotemporal
process;
however,
only
limited
knowledge
exists
on
it,

its
monitoring
