The contamination of freshwater with microplastics (MPs) has been established globally. While the analysis MPs predominantly involved spectroscopic methods for revealing particle numbers, potential employing spectroscopy mass estimation underutilized. Consequently, there is a need to enhance our understanding loads and ensure complementarity comparability various techniques accurate quantification. This study presents first comparative results on urban water samples using micro Fourier-transform infrared (μ-FTIR) imaging pyrolysis-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (Py-GC-MS) identify quantify in both numbers concentration. Abstract Background The microplastic transport of rivers is a complex spatiotemporal process; however, only limited knowledge exists on it, making its monitoring complicated. study aimed to analyze the spatial and temporal dynamics suspended sediments microplastics based measurements (1) every five days for 2 years at one site (2) annual repetition 29 sites along 750-km-long Tisza River 3 years. Microplastic pollution has become a primary global concern in the 21st century. Recyclable magnetic particles with micro-nanostructures are considered an efficient and economical way to remove microplastics from water. In this study, superhydrophobic cobalt ferrite were prepared by using simple coprecipitation method combined surface functionalization. The micromorphology, chemical composition, hysteresis loop, contact angle of functionalized characterized. separation efficiency absorption capacity water-oil microplastic removal investigated. results showed that saturation field intensity was 65.52 emu/g, residual magnetization (Mr) 18.79 low coercivity 799.83 Oe.
