A typical Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) defines the usage of static sensors; however, growing focus on smart cities has led to a rise in adoption mobile sensors meet varied demands Internet Things (IoT) applications. This results significantly increasing dependencies towards secure storage and effective resource management. One way address this issue is harness immutability property Ethereum blockchain. However, existing challenges IoT communication using blockchain are noted eventually lead symmetry issues network dynamics Ethereum. The key related scalability, disparities, centralization risk, which offer sub-optimal opportunities for nodes gain benefits, influence, or participate processes network. Therefore, paper presents novel blockchain-based computation model optimizing utilization offering data exchange during active among sensors. An empirical method trust was carried out identify degree legitimacy sensor participation Finally, cost been presented estimation enhance users’ quality experience. With aid simulation study, benchmarked outcome study exhibited that proposed scheme achieved 40% reduced validation time, 28% latency, 23% improved throughput, 38% minimized overhead, 27% cost, processing contrast solutions reported literature. prominently exhibits fairer system.

Abstract Seafood fraud is a global concern. High-value products with diversity of species, production methods and fishery origins provide business environment that both conducive to criminality financially lucrative. However, there scarce empirical evidence on the nature seafood fraud. This study aims increase understanding deceptive practices in industry, crime commission process identify possible intervention points. Ten case studies had resulted successful prosecutions were analysed using performed scripts understand actors, resources, processes, techniques, conditions payment, sale distribution illicit through legitimate supply chains. The for each created open-source intelligence, including media sources, publicly available court filings company records. Similar other white-collar offences, opportunity was facilitated by leveraging existing relationships industry reputation enable conceal fraudulent practices. In all cases, perpetrated senior management, undermining internal control mechanisms. Other enablers included availability pricing substitute products, lack end-to-end traceability inability chain consumers, detect Also notable extent employee involvement, so this paper considers impediments external disclosure, particularly migrant workers. enriches food literature script analysis preparation, execution, structures By emphasising activities specific markets, rather than solely focusing perpetrators, it offers more comprehensive approach environmental situational influences. These insights, current literature, are vital shaping effective strategies.

Purpose The present study investigates the various aspects, consequences and obstacles linked to use of blockchain technology (BCT) within Iraq’s food supply chain (FSC). By identifying analyzing these components, this aims fill knowledge gap on BCT’s potential practical implications in context. Design/methodology/approach An exploratory qualitative approach was used, involving 21 in-depth interviews analyzed through thematic analysis using NVivo (v12). systematically examined BCT adoption’s drivers, impacts challenges Iraqi FSC Findings Nine key factors influencing adoption were identified categorized into three domains: technology, organization environment. also five major highlighted challenges, including interoperability issues, privacy concerns, infrastructure limitations a lack knowledge. Research limitations/implications study’s include early stage adoption, which restricted access organizations with extensive experience implementation. generalizability findings may be by research’s emphasis broad context rather than specific product categories. In addition, conducted online due budget constraints, potentially affecting depth responses. Many participating had either not fully implemented or only recently initiated pilot projects, could influence reliability their insights. Social offer guidance for improving transparency efficiency Iraq, leading better consumer trust enhanced security. Originality/value This provides pioneering FSC, topic that has been underexplored despite its significance. focusing research addresses technological, organizational environmental region facing unique like political instability, infrastructural deficiencies stresses. critical insights how can improve transparency, thus enhancing overall security economic resilience.
