Bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) is widely used as a convenient method of measuring body composition. The validity the phase angle (PhA), rate (IR), and resistance (RR) indices muscle quality using BIA has been suggested. This study aimed to investigate relationship between these age, clarify their characteristics. appendicular mass (AMM), AMM corrected for index (AMM/BMI), PhA, IR, RR were determined in 1376 Japanese individuals (532 males 844 females) aged 15-95 years. PhA was from 50-kHz current, IR ratios 250- 5-kHz currents. AMM/BMI showed greater age-related changes than other mass. Significant differences found whole at age ≥ 50 years lower limbs 30 years, compared those 20 s. For arms, small, significant females only observed 85 whereas 75 20s. These results suggest that although changes, change upper especially females. However, reflected more PhA.

This study aimed to explore the relationship between shift-working nurses' social jetlag and body mass index (BMI) provide a theoretical basis for nursing managers develop appropriate health interventions. Shift work is unavoidable in associated with circadian rhythm disorders. Social prevalent nurses adverse outcomes (particularly metabolism-related indicators). BMI significant metabolic indicator, research has demonstrated its effectiveness predicting formation of syndrome. The can be explained by considering physiological, psychological, behavioral factors. However, most studies on status are focused non-shift nurse populations, fewer shift workers. Five tertiary hospitals located at similar latitudes Southwest China were selected study. We surveyed 429 using sociodemographic data, Munich Chronotype Questionnaire Workers, BMI. restricted cubic spline model was used analyze among nurses, segmented linear regression performed around inflection point multiple analysis. results revealed that (82.0 [85.0] min) experienced 64.6% nurses. After controlling confounding variables, seven knots had lowest accepted Akaike information criterion value, there U-shaped this model; (lowest) 20.7 considered cut-off point. Segmented showed < 20.7, significantly negative standardized jetlag; whereas > positive jetlag. jetlag, attention should paid overweight or underweight detect early disorder. Shift-working high tended have higher/lower BMI, which further investigated future, minimize diseases them.
