Social
support

and

explore
mechanisms

promote

participation
among
girls.

conducted
with
1,371
girls
from
16
regions

The influence of exercise self-efficacy and gender on the relationship between exercise motivation and physical activity in college students

This
study
examined
the
relationships
among
exercise
motivation,
self-efficacy,
and
physical
activity
rating,
as
well
role
of
self-efficacy
in
above
relationship.
A
survey
was
conducted
362
college
students
(aged
19.0
±
0.8
years,
185
males
177
females)
from
a
Chinese
using
assessment
scales.
The
results
revealed
significant
sex
differences
scores.
Structural
equation
analysis
that
ability
motivation
had
direct
effect,
accounting
for
41.5%
total
while
mediating
effect
accounted
58.5%.
Exercise
has
been
proven
to
be

predictor
