Background/Objectives: Diagnostic examinations that cutaneous melanoma (CM) patients undergo during follow-up can generate various emotional states related to the possibility of recurrence or disease progression. Understanding emotions and perceptions wait for diagnostic exams is crucial improving care. This study aims explore experiences CM awaiting investigations. Methods: a qualitative descriptive inductive, single-center study, structured according COREQ criteria. The sample was recruited at Radiology Imaging Unit San Gallicano Dermatological Institute in Rome. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews analyzed using Framework Analysis, as described by Ritchie Spencer. Results: A total 30 with an average age 57.4 recruited. revealed following four themes: waiting influences experience; double face family support; strategies support period; requires attention person environment. Conclusions: exam often characterized anxiety worry. Healthcare professionals need implement positive coping strategies, balanced support, improved communication enhance patient care satisfaction oncology settings. Recognizing addressing patients’ dynamics Training healthcare staff, providing psychological interventions, leveraging technological innovation improve experience, foster more welcoming reassuring environment, well-being pathways.
