Background Female college students are a high-risk group for psychological conflicts, and they more likely to adopt negative coping styles under stress, which can lead anxiety, depression, other problems, as well pose hidden threats the healthy development of school education social work. Although physical exercise is an important means effectively alleviating health female students, there may be close relationship between resilience with health, specific ways promote by influencing their enhancing have yet explored. Methods The present study employed cross-sectional design investigate sample Chinese undergraduate students. A total 659 participants were recruited during second half 2023–2024 academic year, all completed assessments including Physical Activity Rating Scale, College Mental Health Brief Coping Styles Questionnaire, Psychological Resilience Scale. Subsequently, descriptive statistics utilized analyze obtained reliable data. Results conclusion revealed two significant correlations among namely associations exercise, styles, flexibility, mental health. Specifically, exhibited positive while displaying association Moreover, demonstrated correlation but displayed relationships both Additionally, was observed Furthermore, it found that significantly impacted in detrimental manner; meanwhile, played crucial mediating roles linking outcomes.
