Abstract Nickel pollution adversely affects human health and causes various disorders, mainly hepatic renal dysfunction. The present work focused on a comparative evaluation of the pure form curcumin (CU) with curcumin-encapsulated chitosan nanoconjugates (CS/CU NCs), mitigation delirious effects Ni hepatorenal tissue. Forty-two male rats were allocated into 6 groups (n = 7 for each) as follows: (1) control, (2) CU, (3) CS/CU NCs, (4) Ni, (5) + (6) NCs. After 30 days, blood tissue (liver kidneys) collected to measure biomarkers, oxidant/antioxidant balance, inflammatory gene expression, liver kidney histopathology, immunohistochemistry. Results revealed disruption functions, oxidative stress, markers at biochemical molecular levels associated severe histopathological alterations abnormal immunohistochemical expression caspase-3 cyclooxygenase-2. On contrary, treatment Ni-intoxicated NCs markedly mitigated adverse effect via regulation inflammatory, apoptotic markers. study provides novel nanoformulation using CS NPs encapsulation that selectively targets injured cells improves beneficial CU enhancing antioxidant activity regulating both

Abstract Background Hexaflumuron (HFM), a common pesticide, can disrupt the immune system and cause oxidative stress. This study investigated potential of Physalis peruviana L. calyces extract (PP) to counteract these effects in rats. Methods Rats were divided into 6 groups including control, PP-treated, HFM-exposed, co-treated (HFM + PP) groups. Immune function, antioxidant activity, organ damage assessed. Furthermore, UPLC-MS/MS analysis identified bioactive compounds PP extract. Results HFM exposure suppressed responses caused damage. Notably, co-administration with reversed effects, indicating its ability reduce stress protect system. ethanolic revealed richness various health-promoting metabolites, acyl sucrose sugar, withanolides, flavonoids, which may provide valuable insight underlying mechanisms PP’s protective against toxicity. Conclusions provides novel insights P. as natural agent harmful exposure. These findings have significant implications for developing effective strategies mitigate pesticide-induced toxicity promote human health.

Nanotechnology has shown a remarkable progress nevertheless, there is growing concern about probable neurotoxic and neurodegenerative effects due to NPs exposure. Various toxicological epidemiological studies reported that the brain main target for ultrafine particles. Brain inflammation considered as possible mechanism can participate effects. Whether nanoparticles (NPs) may produce neurotoxicity promote largely unstudied. The present study was done investigate whether intranasal intra-peritoneal exposure cerium oxide (CeO2NPs, nanoceria (NC)) could cause changes in tissue through conducting some behavioral tests, biochemical evaluation, histopathological examinations of hippocampus gene expressions. Fifteen mice were separated into 3 equal groups. In group (I) "control group", received distilled water orally kept control group. Mice (II) "NC I/P group" injected i.p with at dose 40 mg/kg b.wt, twice weekly weeks. (III) I/N intranasally (40 b.wt), Exposure nanceria resulted oxidative damage tissue, significant increase malondialdehyde (MDA) acetylcholinestrase (AchE) levels, decrease reduced glutathione (GSH) concentration, upregulation apoptosis-related genes (c-Jun: c-Jun N-terminal kinases (JNKs), c-Fos: Fos protooncogene, AP-1 transcription factor subunit, c-Myc: c-myelocytomatosis oncogene product or MYC bHLH factor), locomotor cognitive impairment but effect more obvious when adminstred intraperitoneally. Nanoceria intraperitoneally than those intranasal.
