Abstract Background Many patients with brain tumours exhibit mild to severe (neuro)cognitive impairments at some point during the course of disease. Social cognition, as an instance higher-order cognitive functioning, specifically enables initiation and maintenance appropriate social interactions. For individuals being confronted diagnosis a tumour, impairment function represents additional burden, since those deeply depend on support empathy provided by family, friends caregivers. Methods The present study explores scientific landscape (socio)cognitive functioning in tumour conducting comprehensive bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer. Abstract Purpose Cancer survivors commonly report cognitive declines after cancer therapy. Due to the complex etiology of cancer-related decline (CRCD), predicting who will be at risk CRCD remains a clinical challenge. We developed model predict breast would experience systematic treatment. Methods used Thinking and Living with study, large ongoing multisite prospective study older complete assessments pre-systemic therapy, 12 months 24 initiation systemic Cognition was measured using neuropsychological testing attention, processing speed, executive function (APE). defined as 0.25 SD (of observed changes from baseline in matched controls) or greater APE score (transient) persistent sustained months. machine learning approaches demographics, tumor characteristics treatment, genotypes, comorbidity, self-reported physical, psychosocial, function. Results Thirty-two percent had transient decline, 41% these women experienced decline. Prediction good: yielding an area under curve 0.75 0.79 for respectively. Variables most informative included apolipoprotein E4 positivity, HER2 obesity, cardiovascular comorbidities, more prescription medications, higher score. Conclusions Our proof-of-concept tool demonstrates our prediction models are potentially useful CRCD. Future research is needed validate this approach routine practice settings.

Purpose: Breast cancer survivors often experience cancer-related cognitive impairment (CRCI), such as problems with memory and attention. However, typical neuropsychological test batteries are unable to capture the day-to-day variability of cognition may be underestimating CRCI. The present study aims assess feasibility, usability, validity a novel ecological momentary assessment (EMA) app cognition. Methods: Nineteen breast 6–36-months post-chemotherapy 26 healthy controls completed NIH Toolbox Cognition Battery. Subsequently, participants EMA (once day, for 30 days) comprising four tasks assessing processing speed, working memory, inhibition, At conclusion app, usability questionnaire on which content analysis was performed. Feasibility assessed against eight criteria, including accessibility, compliance technical smoothness. Convergent construct using Spearman's correlation analyses between toolbox app. Results: Five feasibility criteria were met, including: motivation, participation rate, drop-out, data collection. Additionally, our revealed themes important usability: self-development, altruism, engagement, functionality. Majority moderately positively correlated corresponding constructs (R’s range: 0.55-0.64), indicating, better performance coincided toolbox. Conclusions: Our findings show accessible, motivated complete sessions showed good validity. can used comprehensive measure in survivors.
