Background: Depression in hemodialysis patients is a significant concern, and nurses play crucial role its identification management. Objective: This study aimed to explore the knowledge, skills, attitudes of Iligan City towards recognizing depression patients. Methods: A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative qualitative phases. Purposive sampling selected 35 participants for phase, twelve these were chosen phase based on extreme responses questionnaire. Descriptive analysis, Spearman Rank Point-Biserial Correlation, Z-Score analysis used while content thematic analyses applied phase. Results: The findings reveal that general knowledge level average (M=0.55), skills identifying moderate (M=3.18). Attitudes generally neutral regarding professional confidence (M=3.22) therapeutic optimism (M=3.25), but positive from generalist perspective (M=3.87). In development, self-efficacy, self-awareness emerged as factors influencing attitudes. Conclusion: provided comprehensive understanding affecting nurses' depression.
