ABSTRACT The digitalisation of healthcare is transforming nursing practice, presenting unique opportunities and challenges that demand more than technical competence from professionals. Despite the growing integration digital tools, remains in ‘foothills transformation’, with significant gaps critical theoretical frameworks required to navigate this shift effectively. This article explores how Paulo Freire's pedagogy may address these by fostering skills students. Drawing on concepts problem‐posing education, conscientization, dialogue praxis, proposes a pedagogical model encourages students critically examine socio‐political ethical implications tools within their practice.
