Plastic is a product that currently popular among people, but over time plastic can be dangerous for the environment. degrade into smaller particles known as microplastics. Microplastics in waters harm aquatic biota such fish. The size of microplastics so small it easily enters fish's body, settles digestive tract and affects life cycle. Apart from biota, also pollute water sediment. aim this research to determine abundance identify characteristics milkfish ponds Muncung Village. method used take fish at 6 stations along with were dissected organs flesh removed, while sediment treated NaCl. found will tested by FTIR polymer. results observations showed there 3 types microplastics, namely fragments, fibers films. highest was intestine, test show polymers milkfish, ABS, latex, PVC, PP, EVA nitrile. The widespread presence of microplastics in the ocean is a significant threat to marine life and humans. A study was conducted investigate extent microplastic contamination coastal waters Langkawi Penang, situated on northern coast Peninsular Malaysia. Rock oysters ( Saccostrea cucullata ) were utilized as bioindicators due its availability all sampling sites evaluate microplastics,by considering abundance, types, polymer composition, potential health risks related consumption. Abstract Introduction Microplastics (MPs) have emerged as one of the global principal marine environmental problems in many countries, including Indonesia. However, fewer studies been conducted on MP impact aquatic organisms. Thus, present case study aimed to investigate presence MPs mangrove sediments and coral reef fish Biawak Island, West Java, Materials methods The used a which samples were collected at specific locations time. Fish (15 individuals three family taxa) from sampling stations (A, B, C) Java Province, Indonesia, February 2023. types numbers investigated under monocular microscope. The activities occurring around result an increased inflow pollution into lake. aim this study is to assess condition Lake Aneuk Laot Sabang by utilizing indicators such as index, CCME WQI (Canadian Council Ministers Environment Water Quality Index), and saprobic index. investigation took place both September 2019 June 2021, employing stratified random sampling method with four designated observation stations for process. Parameter measurements analyzed index include temperature, depth, current, TDS, TSS, BOD, COD, DO, phosphate, nitrate, ammonia, sulfide, iron, lead, oil fat, detergent, pH, e-coliform, parameters used phytoplankton data. Based on analysis Index it determined status heavily polluted Class I, moderately Classes 1 2, falls under good category 4. results show beta-mesosaprobic a 2.3 (moderately loaded).
