Abstract Dynamic mode (DM) decomposition decomposes spatiotemporal signals into basic oscillatory components (DMs). DMs can improve the accuracy of neural decoding when used with nonlinear Grassmann kernel, compared to conventional power features. However, such kernel-based machine learning algorithms have three limitations: large computational time preventing real-time application, incompatibility non-kernel algorithms, and low interpretability. Here, we propose a mapping function corresponding kernel that explicitly transforms spatial DM (sDM) features, which be in any algorithm. Using electrocorticographic recorded during various movement visual perception tasks, sDM features were shown methods. Furthermore, informative for showed similar characteristics high-γ signals, but higher trial-to-trial reproducibility. The proposed enable fast, accurate, interpretable decoding.

The Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) is a rapidly evolving technology set to revolutionize our perception of the Internet Things (IoT). BCI facilitates direct communication between brain and external devices, enabling control or interaction devices without physical intervention. becoming more sophisticated, allowing third-party software embedded in emerging technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented (AR), Mixed (MR) access sensors that read activity. These can be grouped under umbrella term Extended (XR). While disrupting way data collected, interpreted, utilized within IoT networks, it important consider potential privacy security threats poses. Previous not-so-recent cybersecurity research only scratched surface terms aspects then-emerging neural brain-connecting technologies. However, recent advances reconstructing language, music tracks, imagery solely based on decoding signals pose significant risk mental invasion abuse. In this paper, we present an analysis posed by integration with VR, AR, MR. Music is an important way for emotion expression, and traditional manual composition requires a solid knowledge of music theory. It needed to find simple but accurate method express personal emotions in creation. In this paper, we propose implement EEG signal‐driven real‐time emotional generation system generating exclusive music. To achieve recognition, the proposed can obtain model suitable newcomer quickly through short‐time calibration. And then, both recognized state structure features are fed into network as conditional inputs generate which consistent with user’s real expression. recognition module, optimized style transfer mapping algorithm based on simplified parameter optimization introduce strategy instance selection method. The module calibrate new user short‐time, achieves purpose recognition. accuracies have been improved 86.78% 77.68%, computing time just 7 s 10 public SEED self‐collected datasets, respectively. embed it our system, breaks limitation existing systems by calling third‐party software realizes controllability consistency generated actual one experimental results show that fluent, complete, results.
