An umbrella review of intersectoral and multisectoral approaches to health policy

Despite
the
widespread
acceptance
of
need
for
intersectoral
and
multisectoral
approaches,
knowledge
around
how
to
support,
achieve,
sustain
action
is
limited.
While
there
have
been
studies
that
seek
collate
evidence
on
with
a
specific
focus
(e.g.,
Health
in
All
Policies
[HiAP]),
we
postulated
successes
working
cross-sectorally
achieve
health

Background
Despite
growing
attention

mainstreaming—a

Introduction
What
are
the
different
ways
in
which
health
equity
can
be
sought
through
policy
and
programs?
Although
there
is
a
central
focus
on
global
public
health,
we
recognize

stakeholders

Abstract
Background
The
role
of
the
private
sector
in
health
is
clear

countries
but
engagement
can
be
improved.
World
Health
Organization
(WHO)
developed
a
global
strategy
2020

on
engaging
service
delivery
through
governance
mixed
systems
and
detailed
six
behaviours
to
guide
its
Member
States.

operationalise
these
ideas
into
practice,

for
Africa
conducted
multi-country
study

perceptions
