Abstract Mathematical models are established tools to assist in outbreak response. They help characterise complex patterns disease spread, simulate control options public health authorities decision-making, and longer-term operational financial planning. In the context of vaccine-preventable diseases (VPDs), vaccines one most-cost effective response interventions, with potential avert significant morbidity mortality through timely delivery. Models can contribute design vaccine by investigating importance timeliness, identifying high-risk areas, prioritising use limited supply, highlighting surveillance gaps reporting, determining short- long-term benefits. this review, we examine how have been used inform for 10 VPDs, provide additional insights into challenges modelling, such as data gaps, key vaccine-specific considerations, communication between modellers stakeholders. We illustrate that while policy-oriented response, they only be good them.

Selection bias poses a substantial challenge to valid statistical inference in nonprobability samples. This study compared estimates of the first-dose COVID-19 vaccination rates among Indian adults 2021 from large sample, Trends and Impact Survey (CTIS), small probability survey, Center for Voting Options Election Research (CVoter), against national benchmark data COVID Vaccine Intelligence Network. Notably, CTIS exhibits larger estimation error on average (0.37) CVoter (0.14). Additionally, we explored accuracy (regarding mean squared error) estimating successive differences (over time) subgroup (for females versus males) vaccine uptakes. Compared overall rates, targeting these alternative estimands comparing or relative two means increased effective sample size. These results suggest that Big Data Paradox can manifest countries beyond United States may not apply equally every estimand interest.

The United Nations (UN) has identified the following two among 17 Sustainable Development Goals: Goal No. 4, “Quality Education”, which pertains to individuals pursuing II (Master”s) educational level, and 9, “Innovation Infrastructure”, which, in addition fostering industrialization enhancing role of industrial production society, also supports scientific research, necessitating specialists who have completed III (educational scientific) level education. In Ukraine, training Master’s students field knowledge 22 “Health Care” does not mandate acquisition competencies. However, for admission (postgraduate studies), having prior achievements (such as published articles, theses, other academic publications) is highly desirable, it enhances applicant’s competitive ranking. Objective. purpose this study was analyze characteristics structure third module component “Individual Scientific Work” within professional program “Medicine”. Materials Methods. based on employing general theoretical research methods, including analysis, synthesis, concept comparison, abstraction, generalization. Results Discussion. primary objective Module 3 “Principles Pathogenetic Correction Typical Pathological Processes” develop students’ skills medical methodology. thematic plan includes topics: Functional Disorders Various Organs Systems”; Metabolic at Systemic, Organ, Cellular Levels”; Methods Combating Oxidative Stress”, “Influence Production Gasotransmitters (NO, H₂S, CO) a Method Correcting Processes”. inclusion these topics significantly quality education by equipping them with essential competencies necessary further progression level. integration foundational applied pathogenetic correction principles ensures that gain comprehensive understanding methodology, instrumental advancing their future careers. Furthermore, structured approach provides strong practical basis conducting pathophysiology, clinical medicine, translational science. Thus, serves crucial bridge between supporting acquiring inquiry evidence-based medicine.
