Abstract Introduction: Globally, social capital is considered a significant resource in improving quality of life among human beings. In this study, we aimed at assessing the proportions forms and their association with refugees living Mbarara City southwestern Uganda. Intimate partner violence (IPV) is the most common form of gender-based affecting women and girls worldwide exacerbated in humanitarian settings. There evidence that neighborhood social processes influence IPV. Perceived cohesion (P-NSC)—a measure community trust, attachment, safety, reciprocity—may be protective against women's experience men's perpetration IPV controlling behaviors.
