Individual's risk perception regarding specific hazards is a dynamic process that evolves over time. This study analyzed the relationship between number of COVID-19 cases and South Korean public's perceptions from outset pandemic to recent past. More than 70 repeated cross-sectional surveys were conducted biweekly measure individuals' perception. An autoregressive integrated moving average with explanatory variable time series analysis was used characterize level perceptions. It revealed not linearly related but logarithmically correlated. finding can be understood as psychic numbing effect, suggesting people's linear rather exponentially sensitive changes. The findings also significant influence trust in local governments on their perceptions, highlighting substantial role played by direct management during pandemic.

Integrated approaches to surveillance of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection are important for public health actions. The 2nd National Serological Survey (ISN2COVID-19) aimed characterize the extent SARS-CoV-2 and vaccine-induced response in Portuguese population following third epidemic wave launch vaccination campaign.A cross-sectional study was performed using data on 8463 1-79 years age, collected February March, 2021. IgM IgG (anti-nucleoprotein anti-spike) antibodies were determined serum samples Abbott Architect chemiluminescent microparticle assays. Post-infection seroprevalence with 95% confidence intervals (95%CI) estimated overall sample stratified by characteristics. The 15.5% (95%CI:14.6-16.5%), which 13.5% (95%CI: 12.6-14.4%) attributable natural 2.0% (95%CI:1.7-2.4%) vaccination. lowest seroprevelence observed persons aged 70-79 (8.9% 95%CI:6.8-11.6), while children (14.3%; 95%CI:11.5-17.6%) adolescents (12.9%; 95%CI:10.5-15.7%) similar that between 20 69 years. Of seropositive individuals, 22.6% (95%CI:19.7-25.9%) did not report any symptoms 6 months prior interview. completed (2-doses), 98.6% 93.0-99.7%) had specific (anti-S) antibodies. After wave, post-infection 1.7 times higher than cumulative incidence based PCR-testing, but (2.7 times) may be due high proportion asymptomatic mild infections.

Many people have worried about COVID-19 infection, job loss, income reduction, and family conflict during the pandemic. Some social groups may be particularly vulnerable due to their residential neighborhoods daily activities. On other hand, people's exposure greenspace offers promising pathways for reducing these worries associated with COVID-19. Using data collected a questionnaire two-day activity diary from two typical in Hong Kong, this study examines how housing conditions affect perceived risk distress (i.e., conflict) First, compares based on neighborhoods. Further, it associations between using ordinal logistic regression models. The results indicate that living high-risk neighborhood, being married, renting unit, large household are significantly higher neighborhood-based In addition, also reported lower mobility-based when compared risk, while they still high occupational venues if work district (e.g., Kowloon). Lastly, woodland) could reduce distress. These important implications public health authority formulating measures

Abstract This study aims at describing the evolution of Spanish population preventive practices during COVID-19 pandemic between January and June 2021, differences by age group. Data was drawn from COSMO-Spain online survey, rounds (R) 4, 5 6. Multiple linear regression models with as dependent variable were performed. Preventive (p = 0.001) concern about coronavirus 0.003) decreased throughout three rounds, knowledge R4 to R6 0.002) health literacy had a higher value in < 0.001). Older associated frequency practices, levels The model showed that, 18–29 year group, greater being female (β 0.20; p 0.001), 0.16; 0.018) information seeking 0.24; For 61 years old older, 0.21; lower fatigue − 0.13; 0.037).
