This meta-analysis and systematic review aimed to evaluate the global prevalence risk factors of mental problems (i.e., depression, anxiety, stress, sleep disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), burnout, psychological distress, suicidal ideation) among medical students during COVID-19 pandemic. We searched PubMed, Embase, Web Science, psycARTICLES, PsycINFO, CNKI, Wan Fang for studies on from January 1, 2020, April 2022. Internet addiction is a serious problem among young adults that requires increased attention, especially at time of distance learning during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. The aim study was to assess relationships between internet and selected socio-demographic, study-related, psychological characteristics college students. measured using Addiction Test both overall in its individual subscales (Salience, Excessive Use, Neglect Work, Anticipation, Lack Control, Social Life). represented (1) socio-demographic profile (gender, age, residence, family), (2) academic (housing semester, form study), (3) (depressive symptoms—the Patient Health Questionnaire, stress—the Perceived Stress Scale, anxiety Generalized Anxiety Disorder). Data collection took place first wave COVID-19 pandemic 2020 Czech Slovak colleges, with 1,422 students from Republic 1,677 Slovakia participating research. analytical processes were carried out through descriptive analysis, non-parametric difference multiple negative binomial regression. Mild found 387 (27.2%) 452 (27.0%) Moderate identified 49 (3.4%) 100 (6.0%) Slovakia. Two (0.1%) three (0.2%) reported severe addiction.
